Is it amusing? Seems tired, but whatever.

Nah, pretty sure you were obsessed with KPJ and Cam, so Amen was safely ignored until he got his chance to shine after Jabari got injured. And don't think you were much of a Reed believer till the playoffs when we had zero shooting and Cam and Reed were collecting dust on the bench.

In any case, glad our future is bright with Amen and Reed.

Well you would be wrong, I had Amen number 2 on my draft board.

And I have been vocal that Reed should be starting.

Darn, if true I'm worried for Amen now o_O. And you were vocal that Reed should be starting last year over FVV?

No, but I wanted him to play all last year, and knew we would see what we are seeing but LAST year -we wasted an entire year trying to win when we were still developing....Ime wasted Reed's year, same for Cam......sometimes you need to take a longer view, IMHO.

Agreed that Ime mishandled Reed and Cam. If not him, it might have been Stone's handling behind the scenes while he was trying to get rid of Jalen and not wanting Cam and Reed to be hunted by other GMs. In which case, Cam was the collateral damage at the end.

Reed is looking great. The team is looking great. I think Cam could have been handled better, but also place Cam getting traded a lot on Cam. I think Cam could have handled things bettter.

His first season was wasted, and he could be more up to speed than he currently is. But given the circumstances, he's doing great. Yes Cam could have handled things better for sure, but I understand his frustration with the situation.

..and yet Reed is looking great as if being forced to earn playing time helped him develop. There is no guarantee that putting him in there and letting him be overwhelmed would make him more productive than he is now. Sengun, Amen....they are doing fine developmentally despite having to earn playing time. JSJ is starting to look a lot better, but two seasons of not having to earn time didn't develop him as much as he has since returning from injury last season.

I wouldn't say wasted, but his PT experience was certainly minimized.

He had to realize he had areas to work on to get more PT from Ime, and it looks like he focused on those things and we're enjoying the results now.

Sometimes the setback becomes the igniter for the breakout. However, I do agree we missed some opportunities to accelerate his development last year (FVV absence being the most glaring).

I don't think he would've been any more overwhelmed last year than he is this year. He scored 30 something points last year against OKC the one game when the starters weren't playing. I'm willing to bet he would've done just fine if given consistent rep opportunities and a longer leash, but we won't know since Ime or whoever didn't want to risk it. As great as Reed is playing now, I think Reed would be playing even better if given the proper reps last year.

of course. according to reed's biggest fans last season any minutes that ime gave to holliday instead of a not ready reed were a waste of reed's development because winning didn't matter.

People need to stop pitting the two against each other. Holiday has been one of reeds biggest supporters and finds him on a lot of his buckets

Aaron has the hot hand so we finish strong with him

Personally, I'd love to see these lineups...

Starters:: Eason, Sheppard, Thompson, Sengun, Durant
Bench: Holiday, Okogie, Adams, Smith, Green

I'd love to Eason and Reed (#1 and #3) top three 3 pt% shooters on the court together like Curry and Thompson, with Durant, Sengun, and Thompson.

With more time together, teamwork, and plays drawn up to pump up each other's strengths, they could be amazing. It takes playing unselfish for this to work, and a coach who demands it.
