Obvious bright spot was Reed Sheppard. Kid’s release is just too sweet and he’s a ****ing assassin. Not only that, he’s a defensive threat and I love the way he haunts the lanes. With 35+ minutes of PT a night he will be getting All-Star numbers.

this is still too many words for Reed when rockets best players KD and Sengun played like absolute frauds.

KD’s inefficiency is due to a few things. Lack of chemistry, which will come with more reps. Inability by the coaching staff to properly integrate his play style and strengths into the team, which is inexcusable in a pro league. And he plays hero ball because he’s used to being the focus of offense and not having other reliable scorers on his team.

Yea i don't want to hear it either.
Reed was phenomenal and no mistakes he made have not been made up for by his incredible offensive game.

Everyone on this team makes mistakes, and a lot of them too. No one other than Reed is shooting like that tho.

Thunder are great no doubt but i just looked at their schedule and something like 13 of the 17 games they played were just truly awful opponents.

The only respectable opponents were Hawks (with Trae - they seem to be way better without him), Lakers, Rockets, Warriors and Blazers. They lost to the Blazers, GSW had Curry,Draymond and Butler out.

So the only "tough" wins they have is against the Rockets and Lakers. Other than that it feels like they play the Kings and Jazz every other night.

These are the games that make me realize how much I miss Dillon. That never back down, get under your skin, pesky, don’t give an f defender…. We miss that in these grind em out games. Feel like we could’ve used him against the Spurs and OKC as well. In many ways, he may have been the biggest loss in that transaction.

Sure, they had a few B2Bs and tons of injuries.

Playing Denver, Mavs would be tough as they are tough matchups.

Ime and his double big fetish... Another weak start to the game. No AG, no Braun and we still looked so bad.

It's a long season. Things will have to change and improve. As of today, we're pretenders.

They are still jelling and coming together. I’ll put them up against any of the top 3 teams in the league. They will be hard to beat by the time the AllStar is rolling around. New teams take awhile to jell but this current team is light years ahead. I had my doubts about Durant sharing the ball but he surprised me the most with his assists. And ain’t nobody is going to out rebounding us as long as we have Aquaman and Goon underneath the basket.

Watching Reed develop has been about the best part of a really fun season so far. If you don't enjoy watching him play, there's flat out something wrong with you on a fundamental level. Can he keep it up? Who knows. But God damn it he's fun to watch right now.

Pretty impressive for being so shorthanded...
Our Rockets are a work in progress, but we'll get there.

Reed will grace numerous All Star games.

    Ime will figure it out.

    Sky's the limit for us.

I have said this since the beginning of the season - you can’t expect to win a championship with Sheppard. I see great improvements in his shooting but basketball isn’t just about shooting. The issue is critical decision making. The better teams make better decisions and less mistakes and the team that does this wins period. Sheppard has been shooting lights out but a lot of his mistakes cost us. There’s a lot of growing pains for young players and I have no doubt he’s growing but to rely on a young player who is bound to make mistakes and having not played much last year is too much to ask for a vet team looking to win a championship.

We aren’t as tight and stingy on the defensive end. We also don’t have that psychological edge dillon gave us. I wish we still had him. Brooks playing with KD is very fitting and complimentary

    Two things-

    1) You should be highly encouraged.

Hou: Awful to standard: Sengun and Durant

Den: Played to standard: Jokic and Murray

You could have easily won that game if your two best players played like stars.

2)Ime starting Reed with Sengun and Durant is not worth it as it currently stands.

There shouldn't be situations where Jabari Smith is getting up more shots than Reed in any game this year. Reed is way to good of a shooter with the ball in his hands as well as off the ball to be sitting in a corner waiting his turn.

The OFFENSE has to adjust to running more horns action, split actions, double screens.

Reed needs 15-18 shots a night. 8-10 of which are 3's. He will immediately become your second best scorer on the team(efficient wise).

I think Houston will eventually evolve to a different looking offense by seasons end. Yes they are number 1, but its due to the rebounding/Durant's efficient ability.

I did mention Sengun. KD may not have shot well but in terms of glaring mistakes I saw these players making the most errors. This is about how they have played all season and how it will catch up with them.

9-1 when Okogie starts. 1-3 when double bigs start. The double bigs have been our biggest weakness. We need Reed’s pick me up off the bench. Ime is a stubborn idiot. He’s getting all this press about the two bigs being a genius move when the people that watch the Rockets know it is killing us especially on defense. Now he has added the 2 little lineup. It’s not good to have a coach that is just guessing on offense.
