He was actually measured at 313 lbs earlier this year. I fear for his life after one or two UH practices. lol.

I know he's a large human, but I just don't see it. He's not a lardass or anything, and he's not particularly yoked. And he's 18

I have never heard of who we are playing (how did they get on the schedule?) But, vets still can't shoot, and the rookies can. Come on, guys..

Last name pronounced DEE ON EH. Going to be a beast once CKS and our strength and conditioning coach leave their impact on him.

ETA: One of the press at last night's post game presser pronounced Arafan's last name D N A.

Since it isn't the Rockets' night, I have been watching Purdue and TexTech. It isn't TT night either. Purdue is BIG and bad.

Toppin was tech's best player but that one guy that transferred to nc state seemed like their leader to me. Purdue is good but not unbeatable. a really mediocre memphis gave them all they could handle.

Darrion Williams. He was a huge loss for Tech, no idea why Cody the Fracker didn't pony up enough NIL money to keep him.

Don't think he's top 20, but most publications/sites put him around top-30 to top-50. ESPN puts him at 27. From what I had read online, I thought UH had the best chance of getting him rather than Diane. Getting both is a pretty big coup.

Sampson talking like it's no big deal, they knew about it long ago, and they're already working on 2027's draft class. lol.

    In other interesting recruiting news:

Bruce Branch III, the No. 2-ranked prospect in the 2027 class, announced Saturday that he plans to reclassify into the 2026 class.

Branch will graduate from Prolific Prep (Florida) in the spring and be able to play college basketball next fall.

"I believe in my ability. I am confident that I can do this," Branch told ESPN. "I have been playing up my whole life. I am not going to let anyone outwork me. I remember when I was in the first grade playing against third graders. I got pushed down, and I got back up."

He hasn't taken any official visits and has yet to truly dive into his recruitment, but the likes of Kentucky, Kansas, Louisville, USC, BYU, Arizona, Houston and Miami are all in pursuit. A springtime decision is the expectation.

I wonder if he's one of the "couple" of kids Sampson said they're going after in the 2027 class and had their "hooks into them pretty good". If so, hopefully the timeline change doesn't affect anything. lol.
