If that was the case - what else should we ask for? Can I get some more pull up 3s & +65% on rim attempts?
A lot of the leap forward Sengun has made this season is actually just his stamina, I think. He clearly worked hard on it over the offseason. Currently averaging 37mpg, and he is still looking just as strong at the end of games. In previous seasons, I feel like when he played big minutes he would get visibly tired and start missing FTs and bunnies. So far this season that has not been a problem at all.
If Sengun is retiring the Baby Jokic nickname I guess it means AroundtheWorld gets to retire his nickname Baby D*ck.
When players aren't pushed beyond their limits, it is no surprise that they lack toughness. Many reach celebrity status so quickly that they lose the drive to build a legacy, a sharp contrast to the mindset of previous generations. This environment is stifling domestic prospects and is likely the primary reason the NBA's top five players are all international. The system is just as culpable as the athletes, it simply fails to maintain the hunger required for them to reach their full potential.
Underrated thing about last night - and I didn't see any mention of it - was all his clutch free throws late in the game. I mean, they gave it to Alpi specifically when they knew Cavs were trying to foul, and he makes them all calmly without the ball even touching the rim. And this is after watching Mobley bricking all his free throws on the other end...
Very underrated all season. We are in the middle of the pack in FT% for the team. We were dead last in 24/25.
I’d like to see where the teams are ranked at with the average height for each minute played by the team. I would guess being in the middle is quite good if taking that into regard.
Alpi must have wanted to tell him, "And they gave you the max and talked me down. Talked me down. You're making 46 million this year, me, I'm making 33. I'm embarrassing you and you're making more money than me."
Centers are dead. We will never see great Center play like when we were kids playing MKII with no blood because of the Gov and Nintendo, Hakeem Robinson Kazaam Alonzo Mourning Smits Deke Ewing Cliff Robinson.... wait a second, Jokic Alpi Wemby Duren Adebayo Adams Mobley Sarr Towns Sabonis They're just as impactful as ever. The only difference is that the top 4 back then, took 3.5 more shots than top 4 now. You can add 3 more points to everyone's average in this generation and it evens out. Just glad Centers are in play. Enjoy watching them more than some guard getting 20 free throws for breathing in the same vicinity
I watched the "Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show" I just like to see what opposing teams podcasters think of our team and They were like "Why cant he have taken the SUPERSTAR jump like Sengun". Hearing another teams fans call Sengun a superstar so casually made me feel surprised and proud. Most people here have trouble calling him a superstar. But anyway their disapointment on that show is that Mobley's good but they need him to be a Superstar in order to help Donovan and it seems like to them he's reached his limit of what he's gonna be.
Like the Magic did with Paolo, the Cavs paid for a max superstar that wasn't one. When Alpi was drafted, there were a lot of people around the NBA saying the Rockets might have gotten a huge steal drafting him at #16. Rockets are paying Alpi $17 million/year less than the Cavs are paying Mobley. LOL, most Cavs fans don't even know that.
