Well it can’t be considered a good take if it is not true (allegedly). But of course it got a response, Howard is a very prominent figure in college football and “breaking news” like that is can affect the team and university just like Sark said. Also CDC is very active on twitter and regularly responds to fans so not sure that is an accomplishment.
True not true, speculation or not - Texas is not doing well. Media gives takes all the time. Either way you spin it, Texas has sucked.
Oh, but it was a bad take from Desmond Howard that showed him to be a tool who had no clue what he was talking about. This is what happens when you try to front-run something and are dead wrong.
Hello there. I liked the take from Howard. Like who the f*ck cares if he was wrong. Texas is not winning the big games and that's a big concern.
Takes” are opinions which is why you can have good and bad ones. Howard was attempting to break news which turned out to be untrue evidently.
I liked it though even if it was bad, wrong, etc. Texas inability to win the big games is a huge void. Sark has a smaller slope than most coaches being at Texas so expectations are high. We should be talking about this anyway and i don't buy giving Sark a break imho. They should seriously look into firing him after 6 years of nothing (back to back national semifinals don't count @mtbrays).
They do count for a program that was in the wilderness for over a decade. He also won the Big 12 in our last year in the conference. Our program was in an enormous pit after the last years of Mack, Strong, and Herman. Sark brought us out of that. It sounds like you want Sark to be Saban, but only one man has met that expectation in modern history and he's retired. Big time programs don't fire coaches for going 9-3. Doing that guarantees that big time coaches don't want to work for you in the future. I think Sark deserves a chance to right some self-inflicted wounds this offseason, especially if we beat A&M. I'm not a Sark true believer, but no championship caliber coach would take this job if we fire him this year.
I will give credit to Sark for the rebuild but given his current trajectory he needs to start winning these big games now if we're comparing him to other successful coaches who had the same timespan. He needs to win now if Texas is to be elite and I just don't see it in Sark (hope he proves me wrong).
