i hope flemings and cenac play at UH for at least 2 years unless they win a natty as a freshman, then by all mean enter the draft all you want. it'll be the highest stock they'll ever be.
This was first time I remember where our talent exceeded our culture, and it was talent that won that game. Now we have both.
Houston no longer NO. !. That is fine with me. I wouldn't mind being ranked at the bottom of the top ten. I like lying in the weeds (like a cougar) than being every team's best game of the season.
I still think this team is more talented than last year but that team had an insane amount of expierence that nothing could rattle them in tight situations. You better get us early because these freshman are the real deal.
Five star talent and CKS coaching is a deadly and unstoppable combination. Once Harwell is at 100% I will actually feel sorry for our opponents.
Harwell was recovering from injuries most of the summer and just isn't totally back up to speed yet. He looked good Sunday in limited minutes.
I was looking at our rankings in field goal percentage, 3pt. percentage, etc. They were all horrible, like 200 to 300 horrible.
Part of the problem is Milos Uzan is shooting 29% from he field as compared to over 45% last year. He is only hitting 23.1% of his threes compared to 42.8% last year. We really need for him to heat up and start making his shots.
Can you imagine what this team "could" be like? By tournament time, barring injuries, they could be a juggernaut.
There are currently 10 teams in the Big 12 that are undefeated. Kansas, Texas Tech, and BYU are not among them. Lots of good teams and great competition to look forward to after the first of the year. Between now and then not as difficult but I would not be surprised if we take a loss or two. More interested in watching how CKS molds team chemistry and keeping everybody healthy. So much is unknown this early in the year. Ultimate goal getting best seed possible in the NCAA tournament and making a deep run and hopefully win the whole thing this time.
Uzan started slow last year, too. I think he'll round into form. Harwell has nowhere to go but up... and Flemmings is already looking like a draft pick. Gonna be a fun ****ing year
Never mind, I found him. He is over 7 feet tall, close to 300 lbs. Good grief. If he has any agility and can shoot, it's almost not fair.
