Didn’t he beat her ass though and not the guy? 15-16 is a sophomore usually, 16 can be a junior (occasionally even a senior)

Turns out it sounds like he assaulted his own younger sister by punching and choking her. It doesn’t sound good for Bev, but it may end up being one of those situations where the people assaulted don’t want charges filed and it all goes away. Too early to know at this point. But, it’s a bad look for Bev.

Wow, so not defending his sister from a perv, but just being an abusive piece of **** to her instead? Yeah **** Pat Bev, that's definitely a line crossed where I can no longer support the man as any kind of fan.

Outrageously stupid on Pat Bev's part no matter what was going on.

Dude is kind of unhinged if he unleashed that kind of violence against his little sister. He should do some jail time but with his money and since he has no prior, most likely community service.

This is my expectation. They probably won't be able to prosecute if the sister does not cooperate.

I genuinely believe that for minors it shouldn't be theirs or even their parent's call. If it's any kind of violence or sexual abuse on a minor the law/legal system (whoever has responsibility for that whereever anybody lives, I know it varies country to country) should be able to step in and say "nope, you don't get to do that, here's your charge."

    I can't believe there's people defending this.

Even if she was 15 and he was 18, it would be at worst a lil creepy, but not that bad, and I don't entirely remember what Texas law permits in this case (not that the law is always right). 18 year olds are h0rny and stupid. Not significantly less so than 15-year-olds. And no one should be that flabbergasted. Regardless, as it stands, the latest info I've heard puts her at 15 and him at 17, which means nothing criminal happened. Beverly was "coming from" nowhere.

(I know you probably wrote your post before you knew Bev assaulted his sister, and not the bf, but I believe my point stands in either case)

I get where you're coming from, but depending on the situation, you're just adding trauma for the victim. And I think it is VERY difficult to prosecute in this kind of case if the victim does not want to cooperate. How do you get their testimony if they don't even want to press charges?
