Damn, we're gonna need the defense to be lights out but the bills have been giving up the run all year, if the line can ****ing block and Davis doesn't give the ball away, Woody-Chubb could deliver us a victory.
Allen has always struggled against our defense. mills just needs to protect the ball and stop Running up the middle on the goal line
Thanks @Plowman, yes sir we've had some character building experiences in the last 12 months. Today marks a year where I put my oldest in the ground. I've learned to enjoy and cherish every moment with loved ones, because there are no guarantees for tomorrow. I also truly enjoy my interactions with my Clutchfans Family--you guys and gals are one reason I enjoy sports so much! Cheers!!
It is @T_Man and I've been blessed to have done it more times than I can count. I'm always honored and humbled when asked and this Thursday will be special as I patch the torch almost 40 years to the day that I started my career. Thanks for your recognition as well sir!
Dude, it’s already been a year?! Can definitely call it a character building year. Glad there’s some positives for your family coming up!
It's silly to try and draw any conclusions about a specific player based on what we know of a specific injury. First of all, it's not all up to CJ how fast this moves. There is a protocol. Can he impact that protocol somewhat by hiding symptoms if he is itching to get back? Sure. Do we have any evidence of that other than pointing to anecdotal evidence of how long concussions have held out other players? Of course not. Based on what we know of CJ, I would say he's pretty honest and has a high level of integrity. So I doubt he's hamming things up in order to stay off the field. But he might also be hyper honest about how he is feeling, and with the greater focus on concussions and the protocol therein after the NFLPA lawsuit and all the CTE media attention, that might be all it takes to keep him off the field longer than we'd like. Any maybe that's not a bad thing. If I was a NFL player, I sure as hell would be very hesitant about my brain health after some of the things you see in former players that dealt with CTE.
Agreed, I am not comfortable with people calling him soft over a brain injury when the team nor CJ is involved regarding when he is "ready"......it's his friggin brain and this is not North Dallas 40. IMO he would have played if the game was Sunday but it's not so take your time and get to 100%........everyone screams "player safety", this is what that looks like, sucks for us as a fan but I defer to the Dr`s PS, for you youngsters, if you haven't see North Dallas 40, your missing out
Thanks! Yeah brother, it's been a year. He's with me everyday. I'm still here because of his loss, the doc's found I needed a quintuple bypass and I had one in April. I feel great now and I'm back to working out 6 times a week, just not to my previous level (yet). When I lived in Japan, I learned of a concept they have that means a "reason to live"--Ikigai or life's purpose. In early Dec I'm getting certified in a leadership training called Lead-Develop-Care. Building our next generation of leaders is my ikigai and through this 12-month rollercoaster it is my salvation. Being positive is my choice--Churchill said, "When you're going through hell, keep going." Go Texans and Rox! Cheers!
The guy making that comment is not a former NFL player and he’s very clearly making the point that this particular concussion must be really bad. And you really need to stop telling us that a player having their head slammed into the ground at full speed isn’t that bad. It’s an incredibly moronic take.
I know the safer padded helmets are ugly, but they should all wear them. I’m curious what the environment for wearing them is like. Are guys ridiculed? Do the agents want them to wear them? Are the hits that don’t cause concussion less violent, so cause less turnovers?
They will be able to hang in there and possibly win it. Only 1 game has been out of grasp, Seattle. I'll just say the same thing I said last year about this matchup and the WC game. There are only 3 qbs I fear: The Ghost of Tom Brady, Lamar Jackson and Mahomes with his Line Judge crew. Allen, if you get to him early, will panic into bad decisions and our guy can carve their defense equally. This year it will be Mills. He doesn't have to be spectacular. Usually I'm begging for more uptempo to start the game. I want none of that. Snap the ball with a second left. Ugly it up. minimal pressure up the middle. Howard will contain Rousseau, who had a star game last year 3 qb hits. The Rook will give up a few but that's what rooks do. Nothing where they have to overthink. Caley can get his inside the tackle runs fix all day long. However, if the defense can't get to Allen early, it will be a long night. Texans win 20 to 17
Excellent film! "Every time I call it a 'game', you call it a 'business'. And every time I call it a 'business', you call it a 'game'."
[Schefter] Bills announced they have ruled out TE Dalton Kincaid, WR Curtis Samuel and WR Mecole Hardman Jr. for Thursday night’s game vs. Houston.
Still waiting for our defense to have a "Philadelphia" like performance. They held the Packers and high powered Lions offenses to 7 and 9 points respectively. If you claim to be the best defense in the league, you gotta show it
I love MFers calling pro athletes “soft” when their b**** asses couldn’t play past High School because they were not tough enough or good enough to make it at an elite level. The dedication it takes in any sport to make Elite level is something that most of these “tough guys” don’t have.
