Goff who has the best offensive line in the league? And quite possibly one of the best run games? What was Goff before Detroit? CJ hasn’t been good this year, but I’ve never believed in Goff… dude got traded and the team that traded him immediately won the Super Bowl.

The same Goff that has a 110 rating 21/4 TD/int and a winning team?
I don’t want my QB to be Goff, but CJ is nowhere near Goff in terms of ability, success or production.

TBF, Goff has played in a Super Bowl (didn't necessarily play well in that game, but he was there as a starting QB)

It’s ok not to like Goff, or not want him as your QB.
But he has been a much better QB than CJ and it would be a win if CJ could reach that level of production

Lol give CJ that line and offense I’m sure it’d look similar. Our oline literally just lets people run in unblocked. Titan recorded the fastest sack in history that first game. It’s ridiculous how bad the communication is. Plus the run game that is non existent. So easy to game plan for Texans.

Even with all of that how many points did the lions score yesterday?

Rex grossman, Trent Dilfer have made super bowls too. Sometimes the team is so good it doesn’t matter who the qb is.

Understood. But many people were crowning Goff at that time.. he was like in his 2nd or 3rd year when they went to the SB (& then got traded)

Hurts is above average. Hurts is what Lamar Jackaon should be in the playoffs. Lamar just chokes.
Hoyer was not an average QB.

Similar is the problem. You’re knocking Goff, when he is clearly better than CJ.
But same time saying they would be the same in the same situations.
That’s my problem. CJ seems to be in the Goff, Dak mold. Not a game changer. Can win with them if the team around him is elite.
But they offer no elite physical traits or abilities to lift the talent around them.

I never even said CJ was better than Goff. I just responding to you saying Goff was worth 55 million. I even said in my post that CJ isn’t playing well this year. I just don’t put Goff on that tier. Mahomes, Allen, Jackson end of list.

Who? I’ve watched Goff play since college. He went on the road against one of the worst Texas teams ever and barely did anything, guy was always overrated.

    I wouldn’t pay Goff 55mil, I never said that. Hope I didn’t imply that.
I’m saying I don’t want to pay a QB that is most likely going to be Goff/Dak level 55 mil a year.

I mean he was drafted 1st overall... led his team to a Super Bowl in his 3rd year... you really don't remember? or you that young??

Yes, he has proven to be overrated. But you cannot honestly say that teams were not high on him when he first entered the league.

The first year I don't think went well (IIRC he was hurt?). But 2nd & 3rd year??

I cannot believe you have me arguing about Goff.... lol... all I said was he was fairly young when he led his team to a Super Bowl... lol.. and you are disputing that he didn't have some hype around him early in his career. You may not have liked him (I certainly didn't... I was Team Brissett). But he absolutely had some success early in his career and MANY pundits were touting him as next great QB.

I agree with this but this whole conversation started cus you responded to my post about how Goff wasn’t worth 55 million.

QBs always get drafted higher than they should. He just happened to be in the perfect situation. They scored 3 points in that Super Bowl realized he was the problem and traded him away and immediately won. My point is he is a game manager and not someone you can count on to win you games. I wouldn’t trade CJ for Goff right now. Just cuz I believe CJ can be better based on his rookie year.

I was responding to you saying he wasn’t good and was overrated.
Just thought it was funny because that’s probably best case outcome for CJ

    How's that?

    Horrible OC
    - Crappy OL
    - No deep threat to stretch the field
    - No feature back without Mixon who has never been able to stay healthy.
    - No TE
-And, literally getting his brain hammered on a cheap shot...

    But, it's CJ!? "He's lame"...C'mon.

I do not share or agree with this opinion. More so, fire Caley!

    It’s 22 rec, 294 yards, 1 TD (including Denver game [6-66 from Mills/Den])

Forgot which local guy said it but Millis is better than CJ at avoiding sacks ( I agree) and just chucks it at Nico so Nico can make a play. Whether he’s open or not, Millis just throws at Nico and other playmakers as well.
