the only issue I had was his teammates and coaching staff should have had his back. Gotta protect your rookies/essentially rookies. Its a bad look for the team and makes them look weak

 

Not disagreeing here but I noticed they were really trying to inbound on the opposite end and the refs told them no. You can see KD keeps pointing to the other side and Sengun tries walking over there before the refs directs him back.

Not sure if this was a misstep by Ime but that probably messed up the play that was drawn up and they couldn’t adjust quick enough. That said, inbounding has been an issue—the 5 second calls last year were really frustrating.

 

what a gutsy win, amazing game, happy to have the team fighting. Loved the reaction after the Sengun mistake, from him, the teammates and staff.

Adult people deals with issues, happy to have adults at the helm here.

Magic are annoying af. Solid team

 

Clint didn’t even get in the game. I would say he’s been the biggest disappointment this season. I thought he would make a contribution. At some point we will need for him to fill in for someone.

 

We may trade him before deadline.

 

They remind me a lot of where we were at last season, just with less offensive rebounding capability to prop up their offense. Lot of defensive intensity, not enough outside shooting, being held back somewhat by a ball-dominant inefficient scorer (Banchero) taking the ball out of the hands of a better player (Wagner). If I were them, I would try to package Banchero into some rough equivalent of us trading for KD. Maybe for Laurie Markkanen, IDK.

If they fix their spacing/outside shooting they're going to be a scary team.

Vogner should’ve been called for a foul on Adams — ”Wagner (ORL) pulls Adams' (HOU) jersey away from his body and affects his ability to secure the rebound.”

Jabari should’ve been called for a foul on Vogner — “Smith Jr. (HOU) initiates contact with Wagner's (ORL) arm that affects his play at the basket.”

 

I'm not a fan of Paolo, but his ability to get to the free throw line still gives him a chance to improve his efficiency. I'd probably try to trade him too, but I would be looking bigger than KD or Laurie. I think there are a few teams that would bet on Paolo's shooting improving enough for him to become a force. I just don't think Paolo and Franz are a good fit even if Paolo improves, and would pick Franz. I expect that last statement will either age really well or very poorly.

man silver got the rockets playing every 3 days.. what is the schedule gonna look like at the end of the season? they gonna play 3 in a row?

 

Two b2bs before the New Year, after the New Year we have 8. Feels like the league is trying to wear us down/get our players hurt down the stretch so we're screwed for the playoffs. Hopefully Ime won't sweat the seeding as much this year and will rest KD for most of those. 4th seed would honestly be fine.

 

My Youtube feed today was FILLED with people reacting to the Rockets win last night and how good the team is - man I prayed for days like this during the Stephen Silas years!

 

We're using up our rest days and playing against trash/bad teams at the beginning of the season. We're gonna be dead come the end of the season. lol. We're about to play Cleveland, Denver, Phoenix, and GSW. This may give us a better idea of how good we really are. Maybe.
