I think the Texans thought process was to give him an extra game, especially since it was against the Titans.

However, I think you guys need to realize what we have in CJ. Has he won a Super Bowl yet, no! But is he better than most QBs, yes!

    This is CJ's 3rd yr and these are some of obstacles he has experienced;

    1) Two very inexperienced OCs
    2) Weapons being in and out the lineup. This yr, no Mixon and Tank
    3) Poor OL play since he has been a Texan

    And If you look at other QBs who some say are better than CJ;

    1) Matthew Stafford didnt win a Playoff game until his 11th yr in the league
    2) Dak Presscott only has two playoff wins and he's been in the league 9yrs. He's the highest paid QB
    3) Lamar Jackson has been in the league 7yrs and only has one more Playoff win than CJ
    4) Justin Herbert....no need to comment
    5) Joe Burrow....Has anybody seen him?? He's always hurt.
    6) Jayden Daniels...possible one yr wonder
    7) Baker Mayfield been in the league 7yrs, was traded 3 times until he finally found his footing. And he still just as many playoff wins as CJ

So, if you look at it, that leaves Hurts, Mahommes and Allen....Only three! That we can say are clearly better than CJ at this time.

Stop it. 3 better than CJ?
    You don’t really believe that.
I’m sorry, but CJ has two wins in the playoffs mainly because of the defense around him.
Just insanity saying he’s a top 4 QB, literally no one would actually think that

Some good points here but you named some QBs that are clearly better than him, regardless of playoff performance. I mean Lamar Jackson c’mon man.

Stop it. CJ was absolutely terrific against the browns.

He was very good against the Chargers. Sorry if he didn’t do it as quickly as you wanted him to.

He was not good against the Ravens. He was solid against Chiefs but a lot of stupidity happened in that game all around.

Football, like most sports, is a team game. The defense made plays but so did CJ made plays too, let's not forget.

Also, you can pick and chose situations about every team and player butbthe facts are the FACTS, as I laid out. He has 2 playoff wins in 3 yrs, which is very good

He was ok against the Chargers. If that.
The defense 100% won that game.
He was solid against the Browns.

It is an absolutely ignorant take to say that CJ is a top 4 QB after the last 1.5 seasons.
He’s not even a top 10-12 QB at this point

    The team does.
That doesn’t make him a top 4 QB like you’re saying. You don’t even believe that.

I think Lamar is AWESOME both as a runner and as a thrower but when he gets in the Playoffs and the pressure builds. He becomes a different player. I think he's the opposite of Eli Manning. I want a QB that can get me to the Playoffs then shine

    What are you talking about?
CJ is not a top 4 QB.
    Not even in the conversation.

I am 100% not wrong on that. If you think that, you just have no idea what you’re saying

Ok, so Kerry Collins, Trent Dilfer, Nick Foles are better than CJ by your definition.
They lead their teams to Super Bowl appearances and wins.
    Sound logic

Like I said, Dak, Herbert, Daniels and Burrow are just a few I would take CJ over for various reasons.

Burrow has had 1, maybe 2 good yrs but he stays hurt. Dak has numbers during the season but nothing else, Daniels was good LAST yr, Herbert is not worth mentioning.

I didn’t say he is a top 4 QB. What are you doing right now.

Alright I guess he was “solid” against the Browns. He had a 98.5 QBR. Regardless what you think of that stat, there is really nothing to criticize from that game, he was exceptional. Any assessment other than that is completely delusional.

We had over 420 yards against the Chargers, the offense moved the ball the entire second half, he was very good honestly, it just took awhile. Obviously the defense was great, but that shouldn’t take away from the performance. Did Jalen Hurts play bad in the Super Bowl because his defense was awesome?

I’ve been critical at times of CJ but just being blind to his positives is just as ignorant as calling him a top 4 QB. You’re doing what the other guy did but in reverse.

Oh, it makes a difference. However, Denver should have lost 5 more games. Sometimes lucks breaks your way. It will eventually even out. Bo Nix will be there downfall if he doesn’t play better.

I think we can SAFELY say those QBs are system QBs and their perspective teams got hot at the right moment to get to a Super Bowl.

CJ has shown he can CARRY a team inspite of the situations around him. And if you ask any NFL GM, HC, or scout who have seen CJ, they will attest that if given time and weapons CJ will pick you apart.

His first yr, no line and no weapons and he made the playoffs and won. 2nd yr no line, no weapons and an incompetent OC and he still won!

Could Herbert or Dak do that? Yet they are ranked ahead of him
