Hopefully, Tari isn't made of something more fragile than glass.

The Rockets didn't need him, since they already had Amen, Tari and Tate. FVV was playing more like a 2 guard, and there was great uncertainly regarding Reed. Reed is playing well, I'm happy to see that, but the Rockets needed a better PG than FVV rather than DFS.

Developing a pattern of injury. I wonder if that effects his next contract. Its weird ones though which should effect him long term but man he gets a lot.

Get ready to see more of Aaron Holiday. I think that's probably the most reasonable substitution for Tari's minutes without overloading KD. Amen will take up Tari's wing minutes and Aaron, Okogie, and Reed will take that void left by Amen in the back court. Jabari may also play more.

This is why they didn’t give him big money without insurance’s. It’s time to trade him for a PG.

AFAIK, Tari was not injured during his 2 college seasons. One major injury that has been nagging for a long time, and that we weren't sure if he was completely over, was the reason why we thought the Rockets needed some insurance.

I wouldn't count this "minor" injury as contributing to him being injury prone. Let's see how he recovers first.

    People aren't counting this injury.

They're counting this injury and every single other one that's kept him out of multiple games so early into his NBA career.

You don't throw money at that.

Thus why Tari has been a sulking b*tch this season with KPJ level attitude.

He missed 60 games two years ago.
He missed 25 games last year.
He's about to miss 15 games in this stretch. Then has the entire season to go to miss more.

You can't argue Tari isn't injury prone.

He’s been playing super solid for sure. He will be missed. Hopefully Okogie and Sheppard can keep up their play in increased minutes.

Actually, multiple posts are counting THIS injury. I'm arguing that we wait to see how he recovers from THIS injury before we count THIS injury as contributing to him being injury prone.

lol. He said this injury “AND” all the others. Of course it’s combining it with the others. If he wasn’t out for a huge portion of the last two seasons then sure you could argue this injury is a nothing burger. But the fact that this is his third straight year that he will have significant time missed due to injuries cannot be overlooked. It’s really not rocket science dude lol

I just don't think we see the same level of development from Sengun and Amen. I was concerned when FVV went down, but honestly it might have been a blessing in disguise. Rip the band-aid off, force the young guys to evolve. We'll see how things are looking in a month or two as we get closer to the trade deadline, but for now I think the offense has been fine. More than fine, really.

My biggest concern right now is honestly whether we can get the defense back close to where it was. I'd almost be looking more for an Alex Caruso type of guy than a floor general.

I mean, thankful it’s not another one related to the leg condition he has, but seeing as how he’s missed like 50% of our games, and this is another injury, and the sample size is greater than 3 seasons it’s pretty stinkin’ clear that he’s injury prone.

Reports are he turned down a lot of money and the “read between the lines” was that it wasn’t guaranteed due to injury concerns. This isn’t helping his negotiation position, is it?

He wants 30 million like Jabari but plays half the time… and won’t accept 15 million? Must be something I’m missing because if it were me in that position I’d be a 15 million dollar man with a hip bruise right now.

I think it's fair to say that Tari is injury prone, I just don't think this specific injury is really that important to that analysis. The biggest issue to be concerned about moving forward is still the rod in his leg, and having a random oblique injury doesn't really change that.

But I absolutely agree he should have taken the money.
