He's the best player in the world right now. I'm not sure yet, but y'all are my current favorites to win the UCL. I have to say, though, I don't care for this red kit. Looks like they're wearing a v-neck with a t-shirt underneath. For a club that's had some iconic kits, this isn't their finest.
We will know more after our next two games, away at PSG and at Arsenal. But since we are not even complete and getting Musiala and Davies back before Christmas, everything but the semis would be a huge disappointment as of now. And yeah, the jerseys look awful. Actually don't like having a new design each and every year, but this one for sure isn't going to get missed next season.
Good win, despite the Diaz nonsense (that was a stupid unnecessary tackle)...but his 2 goals were great. Next one against Arse-nal is the game of the first stage. Winner finishes 1st, IMO.
Never seen a red card turn the character of a match around like that, we completely dominated them on their ground and should have been up by at least three at halftime. But of course happy with the win and I think it will help the players grow to have survived a second half like that. Only worried that we are in this brillant shape in November, not sure if you can keep that level until it matters most. But for now finishing top 8 is most important, first seed means not that much, all about luck in the drawing then. Don't think Arsenal will be a bigger issue than PSG.
Not sure if you've watched them. Without Odegaard, they will just draw you into a slug fest and then kill you on set pieces. It won't be a pretty game. Saliba and Gabriel are playing at a world class level right now. I heard this morning...8 clean sheets in a row. Only 3 goals given up in all competitions so far. I think they'll be a bigger issue for different reasons than PSG.
Maybe I am wrong, but we've always had Arsenal's number in the past, even eliminated them in a fragile state under Tuchel. Gnabry is back in shape and has done some unspeakable horror to London teams, Kane won't hold back either.
You're remembering that right. My recently passed best friend who was an Arsenal die hard HATED playing y'all. It's up there with beating United.
Consolidate them. Instead of stopping club seasons 3 months in a row have 1 or 2 longer windows. Maybe a 2-3 week window in October and one in March. It would help on both sides. National teams don't have enough time together to gel and club teams who might be on a good run of form have their momentum stopped. You can't line up every league. You can't ask the Nordic countries to play through the winter. But you can stop breaking up the club season so often. I think it's funny that the MLS announced they're changing their calendar to line up more internationally. Maybe it helps the Dynamo because the prospect of having to play much of your season in the Houston summer might've swayed potential signings to look elsewhere...where as now maybe that will affect those northern teams now because they're going to be playing games in February in places like Minnesota, Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, etc. That sounds pretty f***ing miserable. The only people calling for this were people that don't even follow the league. The only way the MLS will ever be taken seriously internationally is with promotion/relegation...which will probably never happen.
Too easy. You can even recognize his face That's what's actually going to happen next year in September/October, which means no Bayern homegame during Oktoberfest. .
Germany looking fantastic today vs Slovakia. If they play like this next summer, they're back in the conversation as a strong favorite.
In the end Slovakia was not a real challenge, but I'll take it. If Nagelsmann gets his **** together and our key players stay healthy, of course we are coming to reach some redemption for the last two times. Just checked, there are only a few groups that feature games in Canada and Mexico, but I'll keep my fingers crossed in two weeks. EDIT: Just realized, pretty much a joke that UEFA/Europe only get 16 of the 48 starting slots.
With all the slander for international breaks (mainly by myself), we have to highlight the positive side as well. Just wish they found a way to minimize all the irrelevant matches on the way.
