I never said the mavs ownership did not know of this. They obviously did know. And gave it the green light. Yea not that bad of a trade for the Mavs point of view, considering you get a cost-controlled very likely to be superstar in Flagg vs. paying a supermax to Luka (personally I would still take Luka, but can't fault the Mavs since they knew they were getting handed the no. 1 pick). And obviously it is corrupt and rigged and I don't agree with it. But it's better to realize that it is corrupt and rigged than to be obnoxious and ignorant and think the NBA is not corrupt and rigged. I never said they are more likely to win a championship with Flagg than Luka lol. You need to stop making hyperbole of people's words and twist it into the extreme.

His contract has to be viewed as underwater, right? The Mavs would likely need to package Christie and the Lakers FRP just to move his contract for expiring contracts. I don't see Mavs doing that. I think Mavs would need to take a bad contract actually to get something for AD.
Taking back a horrific contract or two is their only legit option. It would be helpful if they expire sooner than AD's.
He's available right now believe it or not. And it's amazing he still is - could be a huge asset to any team looking to build their relationship with the Lakers.

What the hell does “generational” even mean anymore? People throw that term around too easily. I assume it means “once in a generation”, but a generation is about 15 years. Is Cooper Flagg really a once-in-15-years talent? Or is he just a potential all-star, (of which there are MANY)? LeBron and Curry would be “generational” by that definition. Jokic, Giannis, sure. Not sure about anyone else currently really moving the historic needle.
