That’s probably why he agreed to that unique contract structure.

It kinda pisses me off that we have to rely on the Prime broadcast to get us info on DFS....

Rox media folks need to be better, this is info that we've been wanting for weeks now.

The most that was shared was from Jackson Gatlin, that DFS was a week behind Tate, which would have been this upcoming week.

What I don’t understand is why in the meantime, Ime won’t fill in some minutes with Tate or Aaron. I mean, obviously once dfs returns, our rotation will grow, maybe Okagie and Reed play less minutes, but so will KD and Bari, as long as dfs is in the mix. So why insisting on playing a shorter rotation until then?

There were a lot of MLE guys available and we had our pick. Why in the f#ck did we sign a guy who is hurt and is only gonna play half the season? Seriously wtf? This is complete horsesh#t.

Good question. It sounded like it was a way of weakening the Lakers but he wouldn't be playing for them this year anyway so it makes no difference. Just money down the drain.

Because who cares about the first half of a season when we have this much depth

Honestly it's for the best that it take some time to get DFS playing just like it's for the best that FVV got injured. Ime almost certainly mismanages Reed Sheppard again if FVV and DFS were healthy all season. With those guys out, the Rockets will get better, younger options valuable minutes early in the season which will pay off in the long run.

If he's ever healthy, DFS will just be another weapon to add to the arsenal rather than a hurdle in the way of the development of others.

the dude is old. Not exactly the ideal situation coming off what appears to be major surgery. This was billed as a minor thing when we signed him. Turns out it’s not minor at all. I think this sucks and could end up being a mistake.

He got signed because we only had 14.1M available and he signed for a 4 yr deal with only 2 yrs guaranteed (both parties need to agree to guarantee it). It makes the old thing irrelevanr since you can dump him when he starts sucking or you need to pay other guys.

We didnt have our pick as we didnt have the full MLE available, just 14.1M. The mistake was overpaying for FVV, paying him double what anyone else would pay him just cuz Ime has man crush on the dude.

DFS is not the best signing (NAW imo was), but he is a decent 3nD who can fill the void DB left and signed for only 2 yrs. He is a great signing when you consider he is cheaper than DB but arguably a better defender and shooter.

Remember how everyone was hating on the Adams trade cuz he was injured?

I get flashbacks to Mbah a Moute already, kind of slow, long arms, decent defender, shoot the 3 a bit and very injury prone.

    Remember our addition of Adams.

DFS is the same age as Steve, just a few months apart.

If 32 is a dinosaur close your eyes we just re-signed KD to a two year extension through 39 years old.

I heard he was waiting for GTA6 but it’s been delayed so he should be ramping up

Tate looks terrible, like he hasn't played basketball in two years. Maybe the kinks with his ankle are still bothering him and it's gonna take a while before he's worth a dime. If a game is slightly in doubt, I don't want him on the court. Going smaller every now and then and giving Holiday a little more run makes sense.

I think it's crazy the Rockets have only played 10 games while others have played 12-13, but when the schedule becomes tighter, I think Ime will reduce KD's minutes per game and increase Tari's. When DFS gets fully up to speed, there is no doubt KD's minutes will go down and he'll miss games due to "load management".
