Minus 21 in 25 minutes with him on the floor, in a game the Wiz lost by 23. Meaning they basically played the Rockets even in the non-Cam minutes. Nobody else on the team was as negative as he was.

25 minutes is not a short stint, it's extended minutes. And he hit all 5 shots he took at the rim and missed anything at a distance >2 feet. Didn't really contribute any other counting stats either, other than the points.

Not the really good ones, they are able to reach strong willed guys and motivate them....like Popovich etc.

Oh FFS....Plus Minus is a joke, you are judging one guy on that minus when there are 4 others on the court, Washington SUCKS BALLS they don't play defense, and they have no team cohesion - they don't play together, they don't fit together, and they all lose because of it.....it is like Judging Alpi's plus minus under Silas......come on people.

Sorry, no. Pop wouldn’t ignore body language. A player with poor body language on Pop’s team wouldn’t get any time. And because he was so respected and in control, players would know they’d have no shot of play time without correcting the issue. Some guys, like Cam, seem to think they’re so good that coaches don’t know any better and eventually the coaches will learn to let them be themselves. That would NEVER fly with Pop.

Pop got Kawhi on board, Manu on board, and handled Rodman - so maybe you should have a deeper think.

None of them had poor body language…

rodman was just crazy and didn’t treat his body properly or prepare like a professional. But he didn’t have poor body language. He was hyper animated and engaged in games.

Kawhi is just an introvert but didn’t show poor body language.

don’t recall manu ever having poor body language.

being down on yourself after a bad play is different than looking pissy on the court because you didn’t get the ball or enough playing time.

    Nopers. Just an open observation.

Last season I presumed the body language was expressive of his feelings with TheGoodGuys. Now? I ‘spose that is he and whatever it may be.

There are a lot of NBA superstars with bad Body Language. We used to have this weirdo MVP named James harden on the team.

I agree on the plus minus stats. I never use them. The eye test tells me he is still an uber aggressive offensive player, but he is still not a team player and is improving a bit on defense, but not spectacularly. This is from a guy that wouldn't have traded him for second round picks, because of his potential and age. Just be happy he is getting a chance to play, but take off the rose colored glasses.

    All this nonsense, as a basketball player cam whitmore is the same guy we saw & knew here;

capable of making highlight reel plays at the basket with a head of steam, like that dunk from Monday,

but disinterested or unable to do much else other than stand around off the ball and pretty lackluster defensively

    - honestly it's boring to be even talking about it one way or another anymore.

The Rodman I remember used to take his shoes (and maybe socks) off during the game when he was on the bench. That's body language for I'm done today.

funny how we all see different things. early i was into cam, there was a spark there (i thought). NOPE, i wanted him gone last year, we don't have time for his nonsense. he is on another team, possibly the worst franchise in professional sports and dude ain't getting minutes. he is terrible and not on our team. why the massive boner DD?

The weird part is it isn't a Rashomon type situation with him looking different to different observers - he literally looks the same from year 1 to year 3! And is performing almost the same, in the same role.

Weirdest part is that a passionate ROX fan has a big old chub for a player on another team.

I may have a preference when watching neutral teams compete in a competitive game but I never root for any player not on my team, I just don’t…

That is the bizarre thing to me, he really was not that happy since his rookie season......

Probably just a 'sulker' in general.

He either sulks or he is pumped for a dunk, there is virtually no in-between emotions.

So we should just allow young players do do and act however they want? Because they might end up being a generational talent like Rodman? Sounds like a recipe for disaster. It sounds like a lot of folks here are really high on Cam and so they're willing to bury their heads in the sand and dismiss his attitude because of what he might come, ignoring that his attitude is probably what will hinder him most from becoming what he might become.

At the end of the day, it's Washington's problem and I don't really care enough. But if we have players that acted like Cam does regularly, I would not root for them.

Of course, we are talking about the member who did the same for Kevin "I like to choke my ladies" Porter Jr
