Watching the Clipz is brutal right now. It's literally 1v5 out there, and Harden can still hoop. Have fun double teaming him with KD Sengun and Amen out there lol

Maybe Harden making his child & fatherhood public boosted his spirit. More distraction being secret than open. Can just live & ball more loose

I do see valid interest about Harden still. He is still an upgrade to what's on the roster. Kinda like Rockets version of Verlander & Correa. Track record of success, a fabric of the city, value beyond just performance. Still something left in the tank for a return.

But, while Harden is a certainly not a Morey fan anymore lol, Harden is not fabric of this current front office. So doesn't really fit the culture. That can be good or bad.

Bad in that Harden might revert back to "own this town" spoiled ways contrasting to the culture. Good in that Harden is better not coddled like the last GM did, where different gives better focus on winning.

I personally am over Harden. There's risk it can be a "Bradley Beal Suns" effect too, where on paper and on-court doesn't blend. But if things ever get to a desperation struggle mode, all things get considered

The Clippers don’t want anything the Rockets would realistically trade.

Reed Sheppard is a gangster, I don't think the Rockets can afford to give him up. But maybe the corpse of FVV + filler + 1 or 2 1st rounders would be enough. Adding Harden to the rotation makes us at worst the second best team in the league imo.

You have no idea what you’re even talking about. I guarantee you haven’t watched Harden the last year a half.

Has nothing to do with Harden.

And a trade would definitely erase that depth that the Rockets have to deal with injuries in the first place.

You can guarantee everything you want, Harden is like Luka just a lot older.
The Rockets are not running a heliocentric system anytime soon.

I apologize I thought you were talking about his ability. You’re talking about salary to get him on Houston I agree. It wouldn’t make sense unless you could do it for FVV, picks but LA isn’t doing that. But he’s more than a useful or good player. He’s still elite and easily one of the best floor generals in the league today.

Of course, the thing is we would turn into a half geriatric old men home with a couple babies.

I thought we were good with Durant and the young guys, and the age balance is not perfect but reasonable enough.

Getting Harden unless he guarantees a Championship which is almost impossible with SGA and Joker still in their absolute Primes......

Giannis on the other hand is probably worth a shot though, if he decides to come though, as he is still very athletic and bouncy.

Yeah unfortunately nobody is touching OKC IMO. Killing the league without their 2nd star is seriously insane. I’m not even sure prime KD and Harden can beat OKC in a 7 game series. Their talent is one thing but the chemistry they have is unmatched.

I think what you would need instead of Harden is a Deron Williams, a beefy guard that does not cry insane Usage and also can shoot the rock and pass.

A Mike Bibby type would also do.

Practically a better Fred Van Vleet but without the Grandeur of Harden and him shooting too much.

I think Reed Sheppard is alright for now if he keeps it up.

    Something+Somethings

    POR Trade:

Given the subject matter and the OP's avatar, I think he should go find a Clippers forum to post in because he is obviously more of a Harden fan than a Rockets fan. Trading for Harden would be a monumental mistake. It would be much easier for the OP to find a Clipper forum to discuss his favorite player.
