I have a couple. But nowadays I guess "the trend" is for gigantic ceilings that reach God. The ones I have are too short to reach 12'-14' ceilings. Need one for those special occasions when smoke detectors go off at 3am for batteries or just to replace the detectors themselves. But regardless .... ladders shouldn't cost what they do. They act like it's some high tech piece of equipment. On a side-but-related note : I won't even get started on how my attic access needs a ladder to close it sometimes because it's so high and so heavy, you need to be a gorilla to push it closed. Me : "So you're saying I sometimes may need a ladder to close my ladder? What is this? A Seinfeld episode?" Builder : "<gobbledy-gook about how to rig it to make it where it's easier to close>" Me : "So why aren't you guys doing that to begin with?" Builder : "<blank stare>" I've been using a broom to close it for now. lol.
My wife, telling me of her harrowing experience on the freeway ‘I almost hit a ladder in the road! I had to drive over it and hope I didn’t hit it!’ Me: ‘… So why didn’t you stop to get it? Do you know how much ladders cost?’ My old boss after he fell off a ladder and was in the hospital with a fractured back (he was ok): ‘My wife threw every ladder away after that!’ Me: ‘Bro, why didn’t you call me? I would have taken all of them. Do you know how much ladders cost?’
I have a 2-story house and the living room doesn't have the second-floor ceiling so my ceiling fan is 20 feet in the air, I call Right Touch Electric to change out my ceiling fan, they wanted to charge me $750.00 for their "special 14 foot ladder" which takes 2 people to operate and 2 people can stand on it................I declined, hell I could have gone out and bought that ladder for that price
I guess it’s early but Alexa+ is annoying me….especially when I try to dig into details and it constantly repeats what it said before. My most common things said to Alexa+ by me: “Shut the f ck up!” “Quit repeating yourself!. I heard you the first time!” “F ck off!” “You’re wrong! Totally wrong!” “You’re referencing old data again dammit,” “Why cant you pause the Roku! You’re f cking useless!” “Why cant you turn down the volume on the receiver when using Roku skill, b tch!”
Whomever named this street, I almost stroke out every time I see it. King Author's Court. Unless Steven King lives here...
People that drive with their brights on with oncoming traffic or with their lights tilted incorrectly.
my shoe size I’m a size 12.5, and it’s literally never in store and is always sold out online…and if it’s not sold out, only the ugliest colorway is available some places like FootLocker and other common retailers often won’t even have that size online to begin with…it will be size 10, 10.5, 11, 11.5, 12, 13
I feel your frustration. I find myself telling Alexa "thank you" after she provides info or turns off the lights. I wish she would say, "you're welcome."
I just have to say they put those circular-whatever-things stacked there just so Jack could wreck them...there is no way that is where those things belong. f-ing kubrick!
And people that sit parked on a street with their bright lights on while they just doom scroll or whatever. Other people exist, a-hole.
Was behind a car today in a left turn lane that didn’t understand the light that had a red lit on as well as a green protected left arrow lit on. I gave them a courtesy honk to go. They didn’t start going until the red light went off and it became an unprotected green turn at which time driver tried to make turn into traffic at that point. Umm.
+1 Always a crapshoot for me since shoe sizes are so inconsistent (this is annoying in itself) and I've always had to vacillate between 12 and 13. New Balance has a Wide and X-Wide range that has brought my normal 12-13 down to 11.5. But they're hard to find. I have Fred Flintstone feet.
Idiots that keep their mirrors fully extended when they aren’t towing ****. Not one person on the road is looking at you in your big truck taking up more than one lane and saying, “wow, that guy is really cool and interesting.”
Shirts are what I have trouble fitting for me. I'm only 6'0 but I guess I have a long torso because I can never find shirts that come down far enough. If I get an XL, it fits fine around my chest and belly but barely comes below my belt line. If I get an XXL or XXXL, they come down far enough but are so wide that I look like this: Spoiler Usually an XLT (extra large tall) hits the spot but they are so hard to find. Why should I have to shop at a tall store when I'm only 6'0?
Houston home prices lol I’ve been itching to buy the last few months, but I’m not seeing anything I’m willing to commit to living in for at least enough time to build some equity
This. I have a v-shaped upper body and most button-down shirts I try that fit my shoulders are a tent around my waist. The options are to spend countless hours trying them on or just get the ones I like tailored. Same with sport coats. Thankfully t-shirts have come a long way and the tri-blends don’t tent.
I live in the Champion Forest area and about 14 months ago if there was a house for sale it was gone in a week, now I have several neighbors who have had a for sale sign in their front lawn for almost a year, it's CRAZY. I was going to sell my house last year but pulled back when I saw that, no need to compete with houses that are not selling. I will keep my 2.75% interest loan
