Assuming LAC continues a downtrend and wants to rebuild... Rox trade: Fred Vanvleet Reed Sheppard 1st round pick Clipz trade: James Harden HOU Harden A.Thompson Durant J. Smith Sengun EPIC starting lineup potentially all time great level offense and very solid defense. Harden has proven he still has a lot left in the tank averaging 23+ PPG on elite efficiency to start the year. He is a Rockers legend, fits right in with the rotation, and is one the exact same timeline as KD. It just make sense for both teams.
Sure if it’s just a contract swap with FVV. But idk if the love is still there. He just let his restaurant here go bankrupt, doors are bolted shut.
Let's become teh Clippers ....or better the 2009 Thunder in 2026.....let's win regular season games. Clippers: Who is Reed Sheppard? Is he 30 plus, we only want 30 plus.
I’d rather try to fleece the Mavs for Kyrie Cooper and that organization need a guy like FVV to lead them
Agreed. I’d much rather get Kyrie here if I had to take one of them. But I wouldn’t give up Sheppard. Only FVV and a salary filler. I’d trust Kyrie a whole lot more in the playoffs lol.
LA isn’t going to trade him. Honestly the season is way too early still they will figure it out soon. They were very good last season and I expect them to be right back in the race for a 3-6 spot come mid season. With that said no way you give up all that for Harden when you can more than likely get him in FA if he truly wanted to come home. He is still one of the best players in the league and would elevate everyone on this team even KD. He’s an elite floor general.
Kyrie makes $36M, Harden makes $39M, Derrick White makes $28.1M, and Anfernee Simons makes $25M. Guys on transitioning/middling teams that can handle the rock, would immediately be core parts of our rotation, and may be gettable for a reasonable price. FVV - $25M DFS - $12.7M Capela - $6.7M Tari - $5.6M We have the salaries to make a deal work under the cap, and the assets, if needed, to get a deal for any of these guys over the line. All that being said, I hope that Reed shows enough growth that we don't feel it necessary to take a big swing like this, and we shore up depth via buyout market (McCollum, Sexton, Huerter) or use some assets on a trade for a younger guy on a smaller contract (White, Domunsu, Grimes)
I dunno man? I don't want to stir up a big debate here, but I really don't think guys who are transitioning would be as effective?
