Stock market BOOMING today. Investors recognize how bad the Democrats' $1.5 trillion enhanced healthcare subsidies would have been for the economy and inflation -- and are cheering its death. We all dodged a financial bullet there -- Democrats keep trying to spend our economy into hyperinflation (again) like when Biden was in charge! GOOD DAY
stop lying Traitor George, Trump doesn't care about affordability, doesn't want to want about. but keeps on trying to inflate the cost of goods by imposing tariffs/sales tax on American consumers
You can always tell who the dumbest people are on clutchfans by whoever likes your propoganda posts.. no wonder @Space Ghost liked it
Independents in this country are simply not on board with using deficit-spending (i.e. inflationary) to spend ANOTHER $1.5 trillion to extend enhanced, COVID-era subsidies that were always intended to sunset once we left the COVID "emergency". The Democrat Senators know that extending these COVID-era enhanced subsidies is financial and economic malpractice (huge inflation) and voted to reflect the will of their constituents. Democrats used COVID to create a step-change in the size of government. The people just don't want that -- it's already too big. You wonder why food costs are so high but then you realize they are giving food away for free to 40 million Americans, many of whom are illegal. The American people have had enough. Democrats simply don't understand A) Incentives; and B) the economic-impact of their profligate spending compulsions. And it's why they keep losing. The democratization of news, and the breaking of their monopoly over news, have forced Democrats to have to defend their liberal positions... and Americans don't like what they see. GOOD DAY
MAGAts are devils, but these types really aren’t that much better they undermine the party at every opportunity and are basically trojan horses they are malicious with their incompetence they don’t want to fight…they don’t want to win if Dems were to win in 2028, they would be there to make sure any agenda the Dems may have is watered down to hell as trash as republicans are, at least they are capable of understanding the assignment…they fall in line meanwhile, we always have these fckers ruining things
Tbh I view these people worst than MAGATs. Atleast with the MAGATs you know they are the problem and you can vote them out. These centrist take up democratic seats while cosplaying as warriors when they're corrupt to the core.
Dems just got shanked and sodomized in the prison shower and these clowns are worriying about whether.they fought back strictly according to Marquis of Queensbury rules or not and patting each other on the back over it.
I knew Schumer would cave. He probably said, "I can't look weak with capitulation," but identified those Democrats who would fall on their swords instead. But doesn't the House have to vote on this, too? Will MAGA Grinder Mike still keep Grijalva (the deciding Epstein vote) from swearing in?
Democrats are the only people in the world to lose a negotiation after winning a landslide election which is what happened last Tuesday. It gives off nothing but beta feminine energy which is why folks hate the party. Difference being there was allocated money to feed starving people specifically in a case of a shutdown which congress set up in 2019. You can keep the government closed and feed people who were starving Can you atleast attempt to sound intelligent?
I think this is the correct political calculation by Schumer #1 the airline effects would cascade into Holliday tracle and as much as the popular blame has been on Republicans, I think it would eventually turn on democrats. #2 - it's already too late for ACA , Trump has found the right villain, it's insurance companies . The healthcare market is beyond ****ed . Make Republicans come up with a real plan , other than just saying Obamacare is bad . - maybe the popular movement to the left on this issue has given hope that we can actually have a public option . I don't think momentum for that exists if you bandaid it . So , right now . Most of the public blames Republicans for the shutdown and associates Democrats as the ones fighting for healthcare. I think they pushed it as far as they could with the shutdown. Dems have their graphics on how Trump has the most government shutdowns and now is the time to appeal to moderates and be the adults in the room . They can fire up the base towards next elections and push for a public option / fight for other things that gets the base riled up . Besides, as sick as it is , the ones hurt disproportionately by the ACA cuts will be Republicans. You hear Trump himself talking about checks and checks and money sucking insurance companies. Time to make UBI and a public option a reality Go big or go home
Federal "hemp derived THC ban" snuck in as part of the deal to reopen the government? https://www.axios.com/local/twin-ci...al-kill-minnesota-thc-seltzer-edible-industry https://www.wdrb.com/news/kentuckys...cle_1421cbf8-e2a8-4eb1-b6a2-8c64a850d1ca.html https://www.crainsdetroit.com/cannabis/deal-end-government-shutdown-may-also-ban-hemp-thc-products Back to pre-2018 rules. I.E. no more THC, just CBD. The industial processes for conversion of hemp that caused the THC industry to explode post-2018 will again be banned on a federal level.
Or, and this might be crazy talk, you actually cut spending. Tax revenues have not fallen, it is spending that has grown out of control. Federal Budget Receipts and Outlays: | The American Presidency Project Federal Receipt and Outlay Summary | Tax Policy Center As a percentage of GDP, our receipts are at the high end of what they have been historically. Our spending is too high. We spend too much on defense, entitlements, debt service (from previously spending too much), and discretionary spending. We need across the board spending cuts to the tune of 20% just to get the budget balanced.
