If it isn't woke I'm willing to watch it, as a Witcher fan I don't think they can mess things up too much... Geralt sees monster Geralt kills monster and then meets up with Yennefer to talk and stuff... Pretty easy to get right...
Witcher has really good story content from the books and games this is what happens when you don’t get someone who wants to keep to real to the source material
Problem is woke people hate good characters, lore and story. Imagine if they get ahold of basketball, they would change all the rules so that even misses count as a point and that the losers are actually just misunderstood.
If we compared the Witcher to what is happening if lunatics coached a basketball team It’s like you have Kevin Durant and two diverse chicks on a basketball team and you tell the chicks to shoot and never pass the ball to Durant This is what the Witcher is on Netflix
Watched it. Pretty much more of the same you got in seasons 2-3, except with Temu Geralt. Didn't hate it to be honest, due to expectations being super low.
I think they started making him gay in the last season but I don't even remember what the entire season was about tbh..... Maybe Geralt was also he/they/them/she/her/Ma'am all along? A show where Geralt is always correcting people to call him Ma'am would be awesome.....
I heavily dislike that they made Jaskier gay. One of my favorite characters and they totally changed him for no good reason whatsoever. The showrunners have no respect for the source material and I 100% respect Cavill for leaving. One thing is creating a version of a show that concedes changes need to be made because of a different medium. Another is just changes for the sake of making changes because you think it would be cool. Fan fiction is too friendly a term for such shenanigans.
It’s like they never learned from shows like GoT or the recent failed halo series imagine having a script (In the source material) and going screw it I’m going to write fan fiction
@Salvy Don’t understand the need for diversity in the elves Let them all be white looking or else if you have a Latino, Asians etc it looks like a comic book convention instead of a real fantasy story
