We played well until the 6 minute mark of the first quarter. When Ime’s formula says he must substitute Amen and Sengun out. He then brings back Sengun and plays 2 bigs until half and we fall behind by double digits. He plays a normal offense the entire 3rd quarter and we get within a basket. He then goes briefly to the 2 bigs in the fourth and we fall behind again. He goes back to normal offense and no zone and we dominate the rest of the way. Teams are game planning for the double bigs and zone and it will not be successful any more. He needs to abandon it. When Sengun needs rest is the only time Adams or Capella should see the floor. Adams’ contract will be tempting to use in a trade if Capella continues to play himself into shape. He has better hands and is better at defense than Adams.
It pains me to admit it - but i give this win to Sheppard... he was the spark plug when all looked lost.
Reed was fantastic. Shocked they found a way to win this one. Speed painting halftime shows are always a winner. First.
Does anyone know if this has any effect on our PHX picks? Are the picks for next years draft or the year after?
