Reed played great. If he can play like that consistently he can send Okogie to the bench. Everybody played great including Amen, Jabari, Durant when they stopped the two bigs. The third quarter we didn’t play a minute of 2 bigs and came all the way back. Early in the fourth we went back to it and fell behind again. He then abandoned it down the stretch and we dominated. Please learn your lesson Ime and we will be on our way to greatness.
Whatever happens we won the trade, Jalen might not even comeback for very long time and Dillion revert back to Memphis Dillion
I still need to rewatch the entire game but the Rockets did great, they implemented their game which is play bully ball and dominate on the boards. Amen, Sengun and KD were givens, but Jabari and Tari stepping up was critical. Clearly the team responded to Ime by coming out with better effort on the boards and running out Bucks from 3. Reed had his best game and carried the team after Okogie is starting to revert to journeyman mode..Dude lost his shooting touch for some reason.
Well tbh we would prob have NOP's pick next year if we didnt do the trade. With Jalen, Dillon and FVV out this team might be a lotto team and we'll have two top 5 picks next year.
Last year, we (at least I) were wondering how Adams and Şengün would play together and Ime didn't try it until AD destroyed us in his Mavs debut. Once he tried and liked it there, it became the standard of our team that he cannot give up anymore. Ime is so stubborn. Another thing that surprises me is how Silas used the double big in all games with Wood and Theis that gave Alpi chance to play meaningful minutes as their substitute in his rookie year.
Let’s not get carried away. We played an awful game and executed poorly, 80% of the game was the same old strategy that causes turnovers, late shot clock action, bad decision making on offense and wide open threes on the other end. We played just enough solid defense, grabbed enough boards and had KD to lead, Reed to keep us in the game and KD + Sengun to finish it off.
Sengun struggled for a lot of the game, but those last few mins, and especially that last full court play. Wow.
