This! This is what happen when you force KD to play the pg role (when Alpy is off court). Both Alpy & KD are great passers, but a true PG does more than making the last pass for scoring. the last pass to scoring a point shows an "assist" in the box, but a true PG also knows where to make the "first" pass, getting their teammates in their comfort zone, getting the ball in the hot hands, "lets KD get to his spot" and then put the ball in his hands. Alpy improves alot this season in play-making, but play him full time at the point wasted alot of his scoring ability too. Too bad FVV is out for season, hopefully Stone can get 1~2 capable play-making guards between 12/15 and the deadline.
The main reason why I questioned the trade. If he over used FVV his 1st yr, imagine how he's going to over use KD? KD played 37 mins last night. KD won't have 2 more yrs in him
KD was decently efficient but obviously 8 TO not ideal. Sengun did the thing but definitely bricked some threes. Okogie was okay-gie. Amen, Jabari, Steven Adams all had pretty bad outings. Tari is outplaying 7th man status, although Reed did show up for once. His defense is a work in progress. Barnes, Vassell and Champagnie really rained in the threes. And we turned it over too much. I didn't think it was a terrible effort but we did just kinda get bullied and weren't particularly clutch down the stretch.
90 percent of the time we will win the offensive board and second chance battle. As long as we understand that then we won't go into meltdown mode when it doesn't happen.
KD is fine. Already averaging less minutes than last season. Players have never had it better as far as recovery from games.
We have 2 PGs, on the team....JD and Reed, we just need Ime to pull his head out of his ass and play them. DD
And he sucked. Ime is not a championship coach. I thought he had made a breakthrough, but last game proved to me his still the narcissist ass he was last year. I’m not sure there is anyone else that is better that’s available. So let’s just pray Stone has the balls to force an offensive coordinator on him. Of course, that won’t change his idiotic use of the zone more than any coach in the league.
ill do my part too. I dont think Jalen was this bad dealing with double teams. I cant believe how bad KD is with the double.
Here's another sample size for you: Stephon Castle has 14pts/14assists/2 turnovers last night. I'm glad Reed played well against the Spurs (minus his liability on defense)...Castle is still the better player than Reed
