Alpi does not like Reed and it shows on the court. He is the reason for Reed’s slow progress as he never pops the ball out to a wide open Reed when he is double teamed. Alpi is a dumb player with low bb iq. It is also on Udoka to force him to pass to a wide open Reed when double and triple teamed. Udoka needs to coach better and get rid of this stupid zone defense that allows wide open layups and threes.
Saying Sengun is dumb and has low bbiq is just flatout wrong. Yeah he missed Reed some but the dude isnt going to make every play 100% of the time. He is clearly a smart player but tends to get in his own head at times
This. As much as I love Alpi's game, I don't know why he does not pass at all to Reed most of the time even when he is double and triple teamed while Reed is in his line of sight and open. I can't count how many times I shouted at the TV for Sengun to pass to Reed who was open several times while Alpi was being harassed by multiple opponents. I hope Ime would show Alpi the video and have him seek out Reed when he is being blitzed by multiple opponents. Of course, Bari and others are also often open from the corners when Alpi is making his move inside. He should be looking for those safety valves to pass to just like in football whenever he is in distress inside the paint. On the other hand, Alpi is not dumb and is even one of the smartest players in the NBA. He just needs Ime to show him that he has options if he is being double and triple teamed other than looking for Amen to cut under the basket if he is unable to take his shot. They need more playing time together to develop better chemistry, but good coaching on the players both individually and team wise on offense would help them tremendously.
You could say much the same thing about Amen .... Neither of these kids are able to get the team into their half court sets efficiently. At this point, they are both secondary ball handlers. I don't believe the team necessarily misses FVV in particular, because he is so limited offensively outside of being the quarterback - they just miss / lack a primary ball handler. This team can function with FVV because there is so much individual talent to put around him. Ideally you'd like a guy who can get the team into it's sets and play defense like FVV but also is a little bigger, shoots a bit better and can finish at the rim at a significantly higher rate. Unfortunately, those guys are very costly and very rare ....
Lol so vehemently? Apparently taking the position of patience makes you think of your homoerotic tendencies…. Take a breath, stop thinking of dicks, and just have some patience .
You do realise you're the one who keeps banging on about homoerotica, right? Are you 5 years old or just r****ded?
We play zone because of Reed.. and anytime we a good shooting team, we get smoked. We stopped zone and play on man, Reed gets smoked every single possession. Ime immediately goes back to zone.
Last night we shoulda played man. I woulda loved to see the spurs guards ISO Reed. None of them can even shoot the zone is why we lost.
Reed had most his moments in the first half, that credit had to be given.....but most games are decided in the 2nd half. Was this way, is, and will and would be. Keldon, Champagnie, Harrison Barnes' shot, Vassell. Above all Castle and Wembanyama all over the place to the point that you don't even realize Sochan was on that team.
I almost want the Rockets to trade for a decent vet PG so all of the Rockets Fandom that thinks thats all we need to fix all of our problems can get their wish and will subsequently see that it won't fix any of the issues the Rockets have outside of a few turnovers. And I will laugh and laugh and laugh.
To your point, didn't Ime explicitly state a couple of days ago that they don't / aren't going to scheme to hide Reed on defense and he'll just need to figure things out?
