It feels pretty good for the majority of them since they voted for him. But not for the poor guy who can't get past labels.

Hey, maybe once some of those cops leave the rest will only shoot people 54 times and then pin the crime on other innocent people?

Holding up NYCPD as some sort of gold standard is something I don't want.

Keep your ultraviolent idiots out of Texas, we have enough.

If it’s even real. With AI-generated videos now so convincing that you can’t tell what’s fake anymore, it’s foolish to believe anything you see about politics on social media.

Pitino is, and has always been, a complete piece of ****.

This has nothing really to do with his politics.

Not mentioned much, but it seems Democrats had a good day in North Carolina as they swept all major municipal races and picked up over 150 local seats statewide.

Democrats also did well in South Carolina local races, including flipping all three city council seats in Georgetown.

In Florida, it was a similar story and they beat the last remaining Republican on the Orlando city council.

The geeky stat folks say Democrats as whole overperformed previous margins by an average of 14%.

The last number is why I think you'll see red state efforts to redistrict grind to a halt. GOP incumbents will use every lever possible to not drop from a +20 district to a + 5 district if they fear that 14% will be anywhere near what Democrats will get in 2026. And the way things are going, that 14% is looking low. Wrecking the country to protect a pedophile is not a winning message.

People should have a positive view of anything Rick Pitino says?

    @Sajan

    https://nypost.com/2025/11/08/us-ne...ti-cop-zohran-mamdani-prepares-to-take-reins/

The NYPD saw a 35% hike in cops of all ranks leaving in October – 245 police officers compared to 181 in the same month last year, according to Police Pension Fund data.

“Morale is down because everyone is concerned about the policies Mamdani wants to put in place,” said Detectives Endowment Association President Scott Munro.

“You have a person who is supposed to be running New York City that does not believe in law enforcement,” said Munro, a police officer for more than three decades. “What’s coming out of everyone’s mouth is, ‘We’re in trouble.’”

Whether more cops leave in the coming months will depend on the “Tisch factor,” a police union source said.

“If she leaves it may result in an uptick,” the source said. “If she stays, maybe not.”

The Police Benevolent Association, which will have to negotiate a new contract with Mamdani, bemoaned that the number of cops leaving could get worse.

“Every single month, we’re losing enough cops to staff an entire precinct,” PBA President Patrick Hendry said.
