Close game -> Play Reed -> lose Funny that other poster said Reed is better than Castle when Castle got the rebs which won the game. Rox got out rebounded and out 3d and thats partly because Reed was out there not doing anything on defense and on the boards.

Your eyes are fogged. Reed kept us in the game for the first half and made some blunders in the 2nd half. Ime lost this game for us with the zone. I’ll say it again, the Spurs scored 56 second hand points, maybe six were on Reed. This was a team effort to lose this game. Reed had maybe the best game of his career. I don’t count last year’s OKC game, because they had clinched everything and were just coasting. When Reed comes in they need to up their pick game and free him up to shoot, which he is doing very well. Defense is still a work in progress and tonight’s game was another inconsistent game on that side of the floor.
Have to re-watch the game but yeah Castle has the better NBA measurements and NBA body by far ....if they gave him Reed's shooting, Castle would be unstoppable but here we are. I also like the towering vision of a 6'6 guy over a 6'2 guy.
Zone is something every team runs these days......it is not something good or bad but it is standard now. But Time OUTs should be called more for sure. The Spurs are just the best team the Rox encountered since Detroit.
I gaf about Reed because he is a Rockets player and I want him to succeed because it helps the Rockets. Ive been a fan of the TEAM for 20 years. I'm happy with the progress Reed is making. He didn't look at all like an NBA player last year and he's definitely looking like one now.
You cant have any other defense besides zone with Reed. M2M opponents will just switch and target him. You can only hide Reed on zones. 56 second hand pts means they lost the reb battle. Having a 6'1 dude when everyone else is 6'5 or taller just makes it harder to win the reb battle. Reed incapable of boxing out Spurs players who got the reb.
I don’t know if people in this thread were watching the same game. At least down the stretch it looked like Reed basically did absolutely nothing to help us. Did not get Alpi the ball did not get KD the ball, at one point during a time out, Steven Adams literally Pointed at Reed and chastised him to give Alpi the ball. He literally didn’t guard anyone had multiple missed box outs. The whole time I was wondering why Jabari or Tari weren’t in the game instead of him. I guess it’s cause he was scoring earlier Ime decided to go with the hot hand. I mean, I’m not mad. You’ve gotta learn somehow the only way you can learn is to get minutes in crunch time but we were getting obliterated with him out there. Sure Durant could’ve done more as well. Castle was infinitely better the stats and plus minus show that too if it’s not already obvious to you because you suck at watching basketball.
I’ll take an L if it means Reed is evolving into a better player. He out played Castle imho. He was a better playmaker than KD that’s for sure
