I think the play you're talking about the backside defender was supposed to step up and didn't. They showed a similar play where Reed rotates to cover the corner after the cutter is stopped. I don't think that was a reed error.
Was about to say this. Running up and force feeding KD is NOT it. This has been getting snuffed out the last two games now.
usually the winning team has the most players in positive plus minus. That's why it takes a decent sample size to read anything into it.
You honestly think that Jalen had a negative value? This team with KD is way better, but with all his flaws, when Jalen scored 30 points, this team was damn near unbeatable. That was a lot of games check the record the last 2 year.
Tonight, I think the Rockets found their PG. It was not Reed's fault that they were outhustled and outworked tonight. He handled the ball pretty well and showed great vision and even entry passes. One of the basic issues that was exposed tonight was that KD should not be force fed the ball and allowed to hang on to the ball waiting for the inevitable double team. Ime should tell him to do away with the iso and have the ball moving and be in a position to shoot once he gets the ball. I think this was Reed's coming out party but, unfortunately, was a loss for the team. I think the whole team will bounce back and make another win streak.
So many careless TOs from the team. But some of KD’s 8 TOs are worse than the TOs you see from high school players. Just really weird.
The Rockets have been the top offense in the NBA this season, and Kevin Durant’s shooting/scoring ability along with the defensive attention he commands is a big reason for that. The trade has not been a failure.
I’m so sick of this stupid zone. Why won’t Ime back off of it? You can’t block out effectively when you are in zone. I didn’t know Durant was such a horrible passer. Amen is bound and determined to drive into the lane and make stupid passes to the 3 pt line. He needs to shoot the dang ball. Capella hardly got to play, but is looking better than Adams for several games. Reed was our best player tonight, although they started pressing him at the half court line and he started giving the ball up too quickly. One of the sloppiest games I have ever watched the Rockets play.
I’m not worried about the Spurs. Until we went to zone, Wemby was ineffective. Okogie was doing a great job on him just like Dillon last year. When we went to zone he ate us up. Just really stupidly coached game by Ime.
Ime doesn’t really want to think about offense. He just wants somebody that will take the ball and run the offense like FVV. He doesn’t seem to care if it works or not. It’s pretty scary how bad he is doing on the defensive side of the court this year.
This is like his only bad game so far this year. Dude has clearly improved but played like **** tonight, like most of the team tonight. Lol shut up with that nonsense
The Spurs took like at least two and maybe three balls off us during inbound plays. What is that? Get inbounders that know what they're looking for or at least put Reed on that. That dude can pass. Use that. Here's to the new win streak...
The Sengun and Adams combo zone is very ineffective. I was about to say this exact line pregame. That's what's killing us Maybe try Capela and Sengun
Another thing to consider. The Rockets have only played three of their eight games at home. Regardless of competition, they are 4-2 on the road, which is a good sign. Eventually the schedule will even out.
