Ime gotta be better, zone when they couldn't miss from 3. Should have took reed out with 6 minutes left because they were getting all the rebound. It goes on
yeah and?? Ime coached an ass game. what does the limitations of Jalen green have anything to do with Ime not making the right coaching moves?
Im not so convinced of that. The hunger and effort that this team played with last year is just gone. It’s not even remotely the same, wins or losses.
he wasn’t brought here to do that which was one of the main reasons he wanted to come here. Go watch starting five on Netflix
I will give Udoka the benefit of the doubt, he has shown he knows what he is doing. If it continues to be a problem, he will make adjustments.
I hope Im wrong but its going to be a lot more fans saying the same thing by January. Give it a few more months. KD can score in his sleep but its the other things, like defense, rebounding, 2nd effort and passing. He is not going to give any of those things.
I know they don't have to. Question is why does Ime go to it? One of the wonders of the world, I guess.
What a depressing feeling: Texans: b@lls; Astros: I hate the Dodgers; Rockets: aren’t we supposed to be better than these kids?. Depressing.
It probably has more to do with him coming in with Adams then because the zone isn't used to hide a weak link on defense. They'd just give him more help or double his guy more if they were that worried with him. Ime does have guys shade to the paint to feed the player to the paint and Reed could easily do that, send his guy to the help. I think we're just so big he's worried about Sengun, Adams getting switched on and to lesser degree KD and Bari, who are not bad defenders for their size but if they are switching on to these guards that's an issue. They used it a ton this game, more than usual? I'm guessing they just thought SAS would shoot their average and that just wasn't happening tonight it definitely wasn't working this game. I feel like what @A_3PO said, it feels like they are experimenting with something at times. I'll be patient with it, Ime's teams have a tendency to improve as the year goes on.
I was waiting to see if either we or they were "pretenders". The Spurs really hadn't beaten anybody of consequence and neither have we. The only 2 losses we had were to 2 good teams. Our wins have come against putrid-to-mediocre teams. I think the Spurs are a good team that, barring injuries, will get better as the season goes on. They're about to get De'Aaron Fox back and Dylan Harper was playing pretty well before he went down with an injury, so that'll be an added bonus when he gets back. They're a solid team with depth. One positive note is that, for some reason, we're still shooting out of our minds from 3. I don't know how long it'll last, but they better hope they've figured everything else out when it starts to "revert to the mean".
Then I would rather keeping Brooks and Jalen. They are doing better dirty work than KD. It looks like we made a bad trade.
He was experimenting because it's early in the season. Eventually he'll revert back to playing the zone more situationally, such as when there are two bigs so they don't get abused on the offensive glass.
