Starters got outplayed, which is a first this season. Don't expect that to happen very often. Oh well, I'm sure people will read too much into this. A few weeks into the season all teams are a work in progress.
I am TOTALLY with you. Crunch time zone defense just doesn't work. Thing is, this is the process part of the season where Udoka is trying a lot of different stuff. Tonight was a data point against using the zone defense down the stretch except for maybe one possession at a time and on some out of bounds plays.
ime sat there and watched his team get picked apart because they were in the zone. that's bad. Rockets got punked with no answer at all. the hate is warranted.

durant is washed he can be a complimentary scorer but he’ll never be able to carry the scoring load as the first option and his overall floor game has cratered. factoring in all the games he’s going to miss due to injury the extension we gave him is horrible
Yeah, he's been consistently turning the ball over. Im not being facetious but his turnovers are way too high
what’s really tired is this nonsensical talk about zone defense being a guaranteed sieve for giving up 50 offensive rebounds per game and playing shot 3 point defense. the rockets actually have the athleticism on the wings to play it well, but if they aren’t going to give a flying **** about their effort then yeah it’s going to be garbage. we also don’t need to run zone 80% of the time either
