.. and what happened to our 3 point defense. It's unacceptable. Opponents are wide open on these 3s. It's like the strategy is "hope they miss"
It's not Reed's defense. IT's because of how big we are, he doesn't want the other team targeting our bigs, SVG was saying this during the game too. And also, Reed gave us a flash tonight of where his offense was good enough to make up for any mistakes he made on defense. Him and that KD third qtr where he started to hit his shots were the only reason this was a game. I do think like @DreamShook said, at some point you just have to nut up and play man defense. I could see if the other team is ice cold then yeah but they were flaming hot and hitting everything.

Never thought that we’d be out-rebounded and out-hustled, but here we are… It seems to me like Jabari’s always struggled against the Spurs and Wemby, and tonight was no exception. Probably could have used him to get some defensive boards late in the game though. Reed played like a #3 pick today, and I love that he got legit minutes with legit results. Defense…is a work in progress, but good hands! Everybody else just did their usual thing. BOX OUT THOUGH! And don’t leave shooters open plz
coaching staff needs to tell reed to stop gambling so much on defense and get better on 1on1 defense. until then, they will always go with the zone whenever reed is on the floor.
The Spurs, at the start of the game, hit a lot of tough shots. The Rockets played strong defense through the first quarter and most of the second. The careless turnovers turned the momentum and the Spurs went on their three onslaught. It happens.
Nobody played with a confidence tonight, if Sengun got his head straight whole game we would’ve had a chance but he wasn’t doing anything for first 30mins of the game and we just had way too many TO. Can’t win if we don’t take care of basketball
