Everywhere in OC & LA county is close enough to something at least. The issue being of course, the commutes can make something just 7 miles away into a 2.5 hour drive. But surrounding culture can still give everything a vibe

 

Irvine statistically the safest big city in US ! There is a bit of truth to that. It can also depend on what you personally consider fun too. I thought the low south OC like Mission Viejo was so stale. That Laguna Beach show romanticized that setting, but I never thought it was fun. Like it felt like a vapid social media algorithm in real life even before Myspace lol. But then go up further Huntington & Long Beach & up & the "douchebag" & hood swag factor does give it more jolt can't lie

If I go back, I wouldn't mind living in a boring OC city again but the commutes would get to me.

 

Commutes are the worst. Doesn't even justify going to Rockets games down in LA especially with that awful traffic

Those second rounders have become valuable for salary cap purposes. Upcoming teams want to take gambles on mid to late rounders. Teams that have their core and are paying them need second rounders to fill out the roster cheaply.
