Jalen is good. He seems to have done a lot of work on his game too. More methodical and better decisions. Hope he plays well in Phoenix.
It’s Jalen Green we are talking about. His problem has always been consistency. Let’s see what it looks like a month from now before we decide that he’s turned the corner.
True, I am definitely new here. I have been lurking in the forum for a little longer than a few months though, like the last four years or so (I know, still a newbie compared to you old coots), and I have seen Rockets Legend threads before, but this is the first time I see so many people being called that. It's like anybody who scored more than five points a game was/is the franchise player, anyone who had a basketball in their hands during a warm up is a legend. On the other hand, I am spending a little more time here lately, so it might be that I just simply wasn't paying attention to those.
That's the thing i was talking about about Green being close, basically he needs to have 1 more good month per season (and show up for 2.5 playoff games per round, rather than 1) to be "All star type guard" level - he's so close, but the problem is being 80 or 90% good enough to be a high usage lead guard doesn't scale linearly. That last 10-20% is the difference between Damian Lillard and CJ Mccollum.
"Few good games" he averaged 20 ppg in Houston despite two years with Silas and never played college ball... One bad series in his first playoff run ever and he is mentally weak? We traded away the wrong player....
Anyone can be a Rockets Franchise Player or Rockets Legend. Even you can be one if you put your mind to it just kidding, welcome to the chaos that is the GARM
The truth is that a young dawg got hit with a bad matchup against a fresh Jimmy Butler against Golden State. Green is a great borderline HOF player at his present pace. He is still young and just beginning to hit his peak. I wish him the best in Phoenix and in his career.
yeah Steph and Podz were really a bad matchup for JG @Corrosion but draymond and butler were favorable matchups for Alpi and Amen
Hah, I am just a light weight troll that sometimes manages to get in people's nerves. No way I am becoming a legend of any kind.
21pts on 17.5 shots. Superstar indeed. It's not just one series. He had months where he looked like a scrub. Eventually he did follow it up by a great stretch only to revert back every time
I am only young in clutchfans terms. In terms of the number of times the earth took a turn around sun, my soles still have burn marks on them.
