A young, athletic SG has a bad showing in his first playoffs and gets mocked by the media and fans. He gets in the lab, works on his game, and comes back with a vengeance on his way to being one of the greatest of all time. I'm not talking about Kobe Bryant, I'm talking about Jalen Green.
4th year SG didn't show up in the play off while 4th yr center, 3rd year PF, and 2nd year SG showed up and its not only the playoffs https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/which-nba-player-had-the-most-missed-shots-last-year
I like Jalen and I wish him the best... I was rooting for him every year - and every year got more frustrating. You can see the potential in him and I still believe he could turn into a star, but in all these years he never got consistent. You could probably still argue his best stretch of offense was after the all-star break in his first year. Maybe this change in scenery helps him - but it was looking more and more unlikely he would turn into something else than a scoring spark of the bench year by year in Houston. I am sad it didnt work out here, but am loving Rockets basketball this year.
Yeah I was one of the biggest Jalen fans but its pretty clear Sengun and Amen are several levels above. Wish him the best but Rox with KD are on the next chapter from "we just wanna make noise and have fun".
good lord some of you are so bitter. jalen had a nice game and will flourish with all the spacing and shooting that Phoenix has. It is the best fit for him and I hope he does great.
Hahaha poor Suns fans. Welcome to the sh*t show. They're going to be thinking anything is possible now after JG showed out with one of his good games first up.
Glad Jalen found himself a new home to flourish in. Now do it against a team that wasn't missing it's stars.Hes very lucky Kawhi and Harden weren't playing. Kawhi would have shut him down and they would have been blown out.
Good for Jalen, wish him the best anytime he is not playing the Rockets. Glad he is no longer with us though. As he is no longer a Rocket, but a Sun, can we move thread to the dish and merge this thread with the two other threads for Jalen over there?
I'm very much glad he's gone but I'm happy for his insufferable fanbase that he had another random good game.... that should be enough to sustain their worship for months.
I wish him well apart from against the Rockets. Perhaps having less pressure on the Suns will make it easier for him.
