Calm the F down. Which part of “Not saying Castle is as good as Amen or ever will be. Amen is one of a kind. ” do you not understand? I’m just using Amen as an example to say bad shooter =\= bad player. Jeez.
Wait, according to my google search, he has a 63.7 TS%. That’s elite level efficiency. So he can’t be that bad of an offensive player. Did google lie to me, or what am I missing? Again (for the thin skinned folks), I don’t give a F whether he’s good or bad. Just genuinely curious.
His shooting numbers this year is being inflated by bad defenses. There is no inflation last year he was just bad against both good and bad teams. Is that hard to understand? Did you even look at his shooting numbers last year? They were horrible, 33% from 3, 35% FG and below 50% TS. So why you keep acting like Reed was pumping his stats in any way shape or form last year? Any good performance he had last was an outlier. Using his OKC game which was an outlier for any sort of argument already invalidates your argument. I'm not the one who started calling others names while bragging about his MBA, that's you. It's crazy you think you are so smart and half your post are just logical fallacies.
That's only one element of offense. He's basically turning the ball over more than anyone in history so he gives away a TON of possessions. He also can't shoot so he doesn't get guarded, which really hurts the spacing.
Again we are free to have our opinions. For me, Reed's size and what he has shown so far means he will always be a replacement level role player. Look at Jabari, he is on the same trajectory. Now make Jabari 6'6 with 6'6 wingspan he would be Reed in my eyes.
Yes, which is why I say journeyman and not washout. Over under he plays for 4 teams in his career????
Amen shows decent vision with the ball. He can break defenses down. He's elite in transition. He's a top 5 rebounding guard. The only thing he doesn't do is shoot. What does Castle do exactly? Take shots, right?
Well you are saying Castle never gets guarded thats why his TS is high when video evidence shows he is. Castle turns it over but he also gets assists so that's a wash. Reed is just a defensive liability and can only make open 3s on offense. Its funny you said "there's more to offense" and all you can talk about is Reed's 3s cuz that all he can do.
Castle does what Amen does but to a lesser extent. Ask any non Rocket fan who is better Castle or Reed.
Not what i said at all. It's sad that you hate Reed to such a degree that you will look at a guy who averages 5 turnovers a game and call it a wash because he averages 5.7 assists. Anyway, you can go troll someone else i think i've had enough. I usually don't give this kinda trolling this much attention but it was so absurd i tried, but i give up now.
"He also cant shoot so he doesnt get guarded" as a response to someone asking why Castle's TS is so high. Can you be anymore biased? lol Its so sad to see posters here resort to deflection and ad hominem attacks just to never admit they are wrong.
I used Durant's example. He shot really bad in his first NBA season, which is amount to more than Shepperd's total game played. But Durant is recognized as one of the best shooters in history. Most young players don't shoot lights out right out of the gate. I don't know why you and some others would jump to conclusion about Reed so soon. Criticize him if he's still playing the same at the end of the season.
