I hope he can keep his shooting effifiency at a decent 40%

Opponents will contiinue to prioritze defending Alpi, KD, Jabari, and Aman

I'm counting on the regression to make his next contract affordable :D

You probably are... where is that information coming from?

We have our own 2nd round pick (UNLESS we keep our first round pick, meaning it is pick 1-4. Seriously unlikely.)

We have Chicago's 2nd round pick

I took it as the Rockets are likely to trade the Bulls pick...not that it likely wouldn't convey.

Oh ok - sure! Chance we trade both picks - I don't mind either way!

The only thing I was suggesting is that we have the option of 2 super cheap roster guys by using the picks (ie 2 guys at the price of 1 vet minimum). A number of teams are using 2nd round picks or undrafted players to "negotiate the apron" - bring in upperclassmen to see if they can be a viable role player (and a bunch of guys are panning out as decent roster depth guys).
I was just flagging an option

    Spotrac is pretty reliable- https://www.spotrac.com/nba/draft/future

Looks like I was just not following the journey of the pick. At any rate, I'm sure the Rockets will see what they can get for Eason, including if they can get a pick(s). I think it would be better for the Rockets to get a late FRP if possible, but two years without a FRP isn't bad considering how young the team still currently is.

This possibility is looking more and more difficult.

Difficult is good, though. I'd have preferred to have extended Tari, but since he wasn't....I want Tari to make it as expensive as possible to keep him.

Okogie, the stats I like said he was a good defender and a good rotation-level player rior to signing. From watching, I just knew him as an annoyance, and was surprised EPM liked him as much as it did. Okogie, it is a small sample, but I expect the Rockets will move an older player to free up the an exception to keep him.

I could see Okogi getting contract that we paid to Tate, Jeff and Aaron. If Tari is playing lights out like this we might consider selling him when the value is high. Tari is amazing player when he is under $20 mil but for $25 mil we might see his value not so great when he is playing over his typical him self atm. However I don’t think we can’t make a room to get anyone who can contribute more than what we ship out unless Fred does impossible and accept trade proposals. Reed ($11mil), FVV ($25 mil), Tari ($6 mil) and picks could be enough to get All- Star caliber guard but without Fred’s blessing it’s impossible

Im sure Ime and the coaches are making him shoot hundreds of threes in practice too. DFS also shot 40% from three last season for the Lakers.

Man if we had FVV this would be the golden road to the WCF.

It depends which FVV we would get. The 2023 FVV who shot 38% from 3, ok. The 2024 FVV not so much that FVV would actually hold us back and I could see KD losing his **** at the constant 3/15 FVV nights while playing 39 mins.

I feel like on this Rockets team Fred wouldn't have to shoot so many late shot clock prayers like he did last season. I was also groaning at some of those shots but he was often just handed the ball at the end of the clock after Sengun or Green couldn't make anything happen.

On this Rockets team he would just be handling the ball and setting up KD or Sengun then popping out for wide open threes after they double. FVV was also top 50 in defensive win shares and would have a huge impact on defense compared to Reed Sheppard. Also I think we still miss his ability to be a floor general and calm the team down during runs.
