If that scares you, you really are going to be terrified about this other regime, that is currently leading the most powerful country in the world not talking about but actually seizing the means of production right now as we speak… as well as openly bragging about cracking down on free speech, dissent, and having masked thugs posing as troops kidnapping regular people off of American streets.

64-66 D seats is now the projection, which is well past the 60 seats needed for a super-majority. Federal Congressional House maps will likely now be Texas-ed.

    Here's the story in Virginia:

Only five counties moved toward Earle-Sears compared to Trump's 2024 performance; that means 90 counties, even those Earle-Sears won, moved toward the Democratic party compared to Harris' 2024 turnout.

I don't think we can extrapolate that far. Virginia has been uniquely hammered by Trump 2.0 and there's a lot of animosity toward the GOP because of it. The margins are certainly what's most interesting and suggest that demographics who swung toward Trump in 2024 see that he isn't doing anything to improve their cost of living.

Spanberger is a moderate candidate who doesn't carry the social issue baggage that would hurt Mamdani outside of NYC. But, like him, she focused on costs and rode the anti-GOP wave that Trump started here in January.

I think people are over-reacting, and you're probably joking here too.

A federal shutdown (plus all the staffing cuts the came in over the last half year) hit Virginia harder than just about any other state. And then the GOP runs a black, female candidate (sound familiar?) and... (checks notes)... she underperforms Donald Trump even in the rural regions of the state.

I have a tiny sliver of copium after yesterday, but there's a ton of work to be done, and we can't underrate and understate the monkey shenanigans to come.

EDIT: Oops, I look like an alt account for mtbrays, LOL.

this is truly some insane cope from Trump and the rest of his cult

Trump himself will never be on the ballot unless he runs for a 3rd term…Trumpism was tho, and it got soundly rejected

If Trump not being on the ballot was the reason for last night’s bluenami, then what does that mean for them in 2026 midterms or in 2028 if Satan has already brought him home by then?

They were busy saying for weeks that “this is the Democrats’ shutdown,” but yet that very same shutdown is why they got their ankles destroyed off the crossover and then posterized? Make it make sense

Trump knows he's in deep poo. He's only there for self-enrichment anyway. And those ghouls and remora-fish suckups around him (Stephen Miller, Russell Vought, JD Vance, Marco Rubio, Pam Bondi, Kristi "Cricket" Noem) need his orange bloated carcass to feed off because, without it, they would surely perish.

So Trump'll attempt every shady maneuver, every shady maneuver, that he can to avoid another impeachment (not that I can count enough Senate votes to actually make it stick). If the blue wave occurs a year from now despite all his machinations, he might as well board that Qatari jet and head to Russia.
