I am much less upset than most people seem to be here. I’ll tell you why:

    1. Jabari was out and Tari filled in and did what he had to do, made his threes, was disruptive AF and played very solid D. And it’s not an easy task to replace Jabari who provides very solid defense, help and 1-on-1 and after one of his best defensive games yet, mentally I am sure they were counting on that guy being there. Tari is more on the perimeter and much less disciplined so that affects everyone.

    2. We were shooting horribly, from 3 to FTs, yet still we managed to get a W.

    3. Did not get the best production out of Amen nor Reed, the latter in particular, so Ime finally tapped into some Aaron who was solid.

    4. Tate was played, so while Ime’s hands were forced, the fact that he played him along with Aaron showed he’s willing to try things. The only decision I will always dislike is not playing Jeff who’s just money.

    5. We never seemed out of control, we had just had some mental errors, some zone defense issues - that’s on our coaches more so than anything - and it was entertaining as hell. Some great fast breaks, we played faster, had some great Senhub moments, passing from our big 3, some nice cutting and honestly one of the most unique dunks in ages.

I think they got great production from Amen in the 1st half, without which the Mavs would have held a significant lead. In the 2nd half, Mavs made sure he wouldn't continue.

Tate should be slapped for every 3 he takes. I volunteer.

Over their first 7 games, in 20 mpg, Klay is shooting 33%/28% averaging 8 points.

This is his last year in the NBA.

I agree with this summary and would add I was encouraged by the way the guys played in the final five minutes. If they hit their open threes at just a slightly better clip it's most likely an easy double digit win by the time the 4th qtr came around but since it was as close as it was it seemed like the guys especially Durant said "time to kick it up a notch and get the W!". So many times the last few years other teams were doing this against them.

Seems the Rockets had a mental off day, or perhaps Dallas really brought the defensive effort! Needless to say, the Rockets own worst enemy was themselves.

Jabari is such a high IQ basketball player, that his stat lines always seem deceiving. That is one fella that too many people take for granted. But last night was a perfect example of missing such a key contributor.

What does a Reed Only Fan look like? Are they the people saying hey maybe dont overreact to a player who just played his 60th game?

No such thing, but there are Reed Haters, which makes ZERO sense as he is still developing.

He gets a lot of criticism for someone 20 years old......and still learning.

Have you made your mind up about him already? I mean I did about Jalen, I knew he was never going to be a winning player.....maybe you see that in Reed?

what percentage of your own posts do you prop yourself up on? I’m just curious as to what you would project your own percentage to be?

I have made up my mind that he will never be a good starting PG in the NBA. He is too small and slow. He might get smarter with the ball, but I don’t see any evidence that he has some kind of innate bbiq that some are claiming. I do think he is improving offensively enough to be a rotation player off the bench if he can shoot greater than 40% from 3. His minutes will always be limited, because of his diminutive size and lack of any other above average skill. I’d be glad to be wrong, but I think the days of 6’ guards are over except for a few real outliers that might pop up every decade or so. There are just too many guys with large wing spans that are faster and can also shoot well from outside for him to be competitive. It’s like a light-weight boxer taking on a heavy weight. He might get a few good punches in, but ultimately he will get his ass kicked.
