I haven't given up anything. Too early to call him star or bust. If he doesn't become a star, I won't be as disappointed as I was Jalen mainly because we already have a good team and have two young guys who look to be turning into stars. When Jalen was drafted, our rebuilding hope was all on him. But my disappointment has largely subsided because of what we have now.
I just keep saying in every couple days but it’s so weird how people view read and the differing opinions. If I had to summarize the first few games of the season, I think he’s played very well. And I see him making quicker and better decisions, all the time.
Because intragame raw +/- for one player is dumb? I'm talking more about how he looks, getting too smalled by Flagg, pretty meh from 3, turning it over Looks clearly like the weak link in the rotation
How is it pessimism when I just want to once see Reed get enough confidence from Ime to play him in close games? It's just stating the truth because Ime over and over will choose Holiday or play Amen more minutes over him when things are tough. It's frustrating not knowing if Reed can cut it as a core rotation player when his coach seem to think he cannot be.
Physically triggered by Reed’s play in the 4th tonight. If I’m KD I demand he sit. Looked off KD twice in a row in b/n dribbling it out of bounds on a fastbreak 2 on 1. This isn’t good enough. Not close.
Well yes it's a lot easier to just write off one bad game if it's preceded by 5 games of MVP level play.
He needs a different system. Holiday came in and looked 10x better off the bat. Nothing against Reed, he should never have gone 3 with us. He's a good kid but I don't think he fits. Dude needs to watch Lowry, Nash, CP3 if hes going to be a PG...otherwise best do a curry imitation
