@heypartner No it’s not. After a couple days nba.com figured it out. I ended up getting Fubo. Also, it turns out I love having league pass though. Ironically, I linked it to my prime account and it works wonderfully on my TV.
Yeah, that’s my experience. It’s almost like they let you think it’s working until the free trial week expires. It is nice still having it for all the other games and the archives. So, Amazon isn’t blacking you out?
I’m in Houston so I can’t watch Rockets games through league pass, obviously, but it’s not blacking me out on any of the other league pass games that I should be able to watch. I’m not using a VPN or anything. I honestly think it might’ve been my fault with the league pass issue because it was working fine and then I realized that I had logged into nba.com on my phone without a VPN accidentally and it stopped working after that. So, I’m curious if I would’ve been vigilant about not going on nba.com with any device without a VPN if it would still be working. At the end of the day though, I don’t mind having fubo because I get unlimited DVR. and I love league pass so much for all the other games, I’m probably gonna start buying it every year regardless. You can get a 7 day fubo trial. If you are still looking for an option you should try it out.
Understood. But what did you mean by this. Ironically, I linked it to my prime account and it works wonderfully on my TV. I thought that sounded like you can watch rockets games live on Amazon, like we can with Playback, when we link an lp account within Playback. If not, and Amazon still blacks you out, I guess your use of “ironically” threw me off. I thought you meant after buying Fubo, you ironically figured out you didn’t need it for black outs after linking your LP account to prime. anyhoot, thx for the update. I’m just keeping my eye out for any success stories of getting around blackouts using LP, so I can help others.
Oh, I meant ironically because the title of DD’s thread was do not buy through Amazon. That is a bit confusing. I just meant it works very well in my TV’s UI. The whole issue still pisses me off and I think it would be so easy for space city home network to offer a dedicated streaming service and we could be done with the whole thing. It’s such a racket that they’re still holding onto their deals through cable providers, but I think that’ll end soon enough. Also, the fact that the NBA is OK making it so hard on fans who want to support their local team just so they can make more money off their TV deals, It’s infuriating.
Hmm now I'm getting a blackout for Dallas... The worst part about Norton VPN is you can't change the location within the country. I just have to choose fastest location/US location and it's almost always Dallas or Houston. Grumble grumble... But blackout rules shouldn't apply in Austin for Dallas so I don't know what's going on...
Yeah it falls a few plays behind. No big deal i just avoid reading the most current comments in the game thread. Gladly take that for $8 a month!
