Yeah, you can see that he's still itching to go for the ball when he shouldn't. And it looks to me like other teams have put this in their scouting reports. They're baiting him.

I hope our coaches have made that point to him. He's being suckered. Maybe he's getting wise to it.

Rock star Ime once again mentioned screens, the lack of them. That's 4 times since the Detroit game. He is 'obviously' not happy.

We saw more PnR vs the Celtics (2 w/Reed) on the floor. Keep track if that number increases this week and next. It's Ime's bread and butter like snow bunnies on a cloudy day.

Can't wait until Sheppard and Sengun pNr chemistry is in full display.

LOL. Still so triggered that he can't get through a single post without dropping the J-word. :D

Nope, those mindless fanbois were a cancer in the Rockets fanbase for 4 years and is time they are excised.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I still see the many limitations that make me questioned his ceiling during the draft. But at least his strengths seem to be showing up compared to last year. Will want to see more of him do well in close games against good competition. I can chalk up the first 2 losses to the team still needing time to gel and all that. But also the last 3 games have been against two terrible defenses and Boston on a B2B, and Reed has shown he can succeed in these low-pressure environments.

For the next step, I need to see evidence of Reed playing confidently in the 4th quarter of a close game and be a positive.

Food discussions are kosher in the GARM, but keep your politics out of here.

    Are non-kosher food discussions kosher?

It’s funny how we have lowered expectations from Reed compared to green.

Green was expected to be an all star, but people are happy if Reed can hit open 3s and not be a defensive liability.

We are kicking ass on offense. I hope Ime doesn’t screw it up. Let Amen be Amen and Sengun be Sengun and we are golden. Durant will always be an efficient scorer and Jabari is actually a part of the offense now that Jalen and FVV are gone.Who cares if you use PnR to score or just straight on athleticism like Amen. The efficiency difference between last year and this year is going to be phenomenal and it has nothing to do with PnR.

I see a lot of talk about Reed only playing well in low pressure situations, but I think that's a misnomer.

When you're a top 3 pick who barely played as a rookie, some people are already projecting you as a bust, you're on a contending team coached by Ime Udoka and you're unexpectedly thrust into a bigger role due to injury, there is no such thing as a low pressure game. Sure, they're not all ring night in OKC, but every single second he's on the court, it's a highly scrutinized audition.

He's not playing for the Wizards where they're perfectly fine being bad and he can play through his mistakes for 30 minutes every night while he figures things out. That's what low pressure looks like.

Stay out of the optimism thread. We need a pessimism thread to capture this sh*t.

Why should we have the same expectations for two players taken from two completely different drafts? Do you have the same expectations for Wembayama and Risacher because they were both #1 picks?

Yeah. Draft position is only relative to ESPN and fanbois. Reed was in a weak draft. I pegged him at 3 and would still rather have the guys drafted before him, but who cares. He would be 10 at best in an average draft. Doesn’t mean he will suck and was not worthy of the 3rd pick in that draft.
