Ja Morant a possible trade target for Houston this offseason?

Lmao he's not near as talented as Randy Moss. Moss was one of the greatest receivers of all time. In 30 years, no one will even remember Ja Morant.

Yes, but the Rockets are not the team. We can embrace bad boys if they can shoot. Ja can’t shoot and is redundant to Amen without the defense.

And just in case you don't know my post history - I was one of the first to complain about Jalen's shooting and lack of consistency - going back to his rookie year.

I don't want Ja anywhere near this team, send him to Russia ....

 

We should have had this chemistry about mid-year last year. Ime is a stubborn guy that needs injury to force change. Even with Amen’s early jitters as a PG, it is clearly evident that the spacing and offense is much better without FVV. Defense with Okogie will be just as good. Let’s just hope he can continue to hit wide open 3’s. By the way, I think Amen will start to hit those set shots as well once he settles in. With luck on the injury front, this team is headed for a long run with at least 1 championship maybe more. Patience is key. No knee jerk trades.

 

Ja isn't the right fit. He can't play defense. He can't shoot. There are things he does well, but he isn't even close to an Udoka guy. Is it weird that I would rather see them add any one of:

Jrue Holiday
Derrick White
Quentin Grimes
Keon Ellis
Ayo Dosunmu

?

I just feel like all of those guys are better culture fits.

 

I get it, but if Okogie can hit 37% at 3, we should only look for a mid-level 3 and D guard for depth not starting. We can royally screw up our future with the wrong trade. No max guys are needed. Derrick White isn’t even worth it, if Okogie can hit his 3’s. So many guys have written off Amen as our guard initiator after 5 games it’s ridiculous. He got in foul trouble against Detroit and go 1 assist. His expected assists is through the roof. Our offense is golden, we just need Okogie to keep doing his part and we may be the best two way team in the league, other than OKC.

To be honest, that's why I actually lean more towards Keon Ellis or Ayo Dosunmu. I don't think those guys will be too costly.

 

I knew someone would bring that up, KPJ is much less of a headcase on a team now than Ja is......
