The Rockets lead the league in 3P % at 45.4%. Philadelphia is a distant second at 41.3%. Yet we are second to last in the league in 3PA per game at 30.4. Shot selection seems to be the early emphasis from Ime, and it is working out well. From a positive perspective, we are 5 points away from being undefeated.
91% of our 3pt makes are assisted, which I found also interesting. Old school, using the 3pt sparingly, from kick outs, as an outlet. No step-backs threes, walk-on threes, off-the-dribble threes…

Hopefully these stats won’t get much lower as the season continues. But the team definitely demonstrated high-end shooting in this winning streak. Let’s keep ‘em coming!
It still doesn't feel real that KD is on our team. I don't think it's a coincidence at all that we have one of the best shooters of all time and our shooting improved.
Alp's 3-pt shooting swing is absolute insanity. It's the kind of single-season transformation you see maybe a couple times in a generation, assuming he keeps up a respectable percentage on similar volume through the season. He's obviously not going to finish the season shooting anywhere close to 50%+ on any meaningful volume, but it's CLEAR he's been doing work, and he has tons of confidence in that shot. This new part of his game is no fluke.
Didn't have time to check. But my guess is that Jalen and Fred combined to shoot more 3s last season than the whole team this season.
Nobody is taking step back threes or chunking up contested 3’s. It is because Sengun is playing well in the high post, Amen is driving and dishing, and Durant has to be paid attention to wherever he is on the floor. No more dribbling east and west by FVV and those idiotic step backs from Jalen. This team is in constant attack mode that keeps the defenses from settling back into the paint.
