We look really good when we dont play that stupid zone. He was not used practically at all tonight thank god.

 

It was the opponent. I doubt the zone is gone.

 

That and his defense is poor. It is encouraging that he's starting to hit his 3s. I have some hope that he can become a good rotation player for us someday. He's currently an overall liability for us though.

 

Agreed. Our best case scenario is that Reed becomes a Payton Pritchard-level player.

You can't reason with posters who are quoting stats through 5 games as proof of their point. Pritchard is one of the most efficient perimeter shooters in the NBA. It will be several years before there is any hope of Reed becoming his equal.

 

I've been complaining for years about the Lakers free throw differential and how it was proof of the league tampering to drag the Lakers through the playoffs.

Now the Rockets are benefiting from an even more extraordinary free throw differential and I don't know how to feel.

Maybe the NBA wants a Houston/LAL Western Conference Finals?

 

You are witnessing the ridiculous length and size advantage at play. Teams aren't attacking the rim against us and relying on outside shooting.

On the other hand our team is dismantling people inside.

This is a 60 win team with health as we are witnessing them now.

Really unlucky to not be undefeated.

 

KD, Alpi and Amen make a championship-level top 3.

Our next tier of players really looks great too though as Jabari seems to have figured it all out and has become a defensive terror. I had mixed feelings about Jabari's extension initially. Those feelings are no longer mixed.

Adams and Tari are dominant role players which is a new concept I just invented to describe their impact on the game. Feel free to use it.

Okogie looks like a great addition as well. He is giving us what I hoped DFS would give us. I'm not sure how Ime will figure out how to incorporate them both when DFS returns.

I'd still like another PG on December 15th but this team looks like a contender. We're already one of the top-5 teams in the NBA. I think we can even bully the Thunder and the Nuggets in the playoffs. I feel really good about this squad right now.

Ime was too busy looking for Mazulla's wife.

 

NBA Cup means nothing. They are still a quality team without Tatum and will make the Playoffs. Jalen Brown has the chance to prove that he is better than Tatum by guiding them.

 

If Jabari is really this guy he is no fall off of the first 3.

Elite rim protection, three point shooting and some ability to create in the mid post. Watch out!!!!!!!

Okogie reminds me of a smarter Brooks.

Don't think we need another PG as Reed needs more time to see if he can be that guy. Take care of the ball, hit his shots, and add an element of creation is all we need.

Yes we do. You can't go into the playoffs with Okogie nor Reed being your starting PG. He's been great (Okogie), nothing against him, but no.

When DFS comes back healthy, Reed's minutes will likely decrease. Also, there is the possibility that FVV comes back by the end of the season.
