Imagine having Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani on your team for 12ish years (albeit not together entirely but still) and not having a playoff series win to show for it. Sad franchise. What if the Astros took Trout instead of Mier. Maybe he would have enjoyed the playoffs a little.

iirc 24? teams passed on Trout. There was a bias against Northern/Northeastern players, because the weather doesn't let them play as much.
