These New Yorker progressives, AOC and Zohran… they’re the way of the future Americans will want to live in

For our kids sake, sooner the better, imo.

Not sure there’s a political group that supports democracy more than progressives in todays America. I really don’t know how we will face the futures problems without a greater democracy.

As if the NY Post articles weren't enough, now you're throwing Yankee hats out?

    Shame.

    Obama cares

Obama Calls Mamdani to Praise His Campaign and Offers to Be Sounding Board
Former President Barack Obama told Zohran Mamdani “your campaign has been impressive to watch,” and suggested that he was invested in Mr. Mamdani’s success beyond the election.

A poll is predicting one of the largest migrations of people in many years if Mamdani is elected. Almost a million people leaving NYC? WOW. Invest in Texas and Florida accordingly. Don't live in blue cities in blue states -- these could easily descend into post-apocalyptic chaos if socialist/communists take power.

Nearly a million New Yorkers ready to flee NYC if Mamdani becomes mayor — possibly igniting mass exodus: poll

Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers are prepared to bolt from the Big Apple if socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani wins Tuesday’s mayoral race — potentially setting the stage for the largest population flight in US history, an alarming new poll warned early Monday.

Around 765,000 people of the 8.4 million residents who call New York City home are preparing to leave, with about 9% of New Yorkers sharing they would “definitely” leave the city if Mamdani were elected the 111th mayor, the Daily Mail reported, citing a survey conducted by J.L. Partners.

If those residents were to leave, it would be equal to the population of Washington, DC, Las Vegas, or Seattle fleeing the city.

Another 25% of New Yorkers — about 2.12 million — said they would “consider” packing up and leaving.

Among high earners, 7% of those making over $250,000 a year said they would definitely flee.

Poll results highlighted widespread unease about the 34-year-old assemblyman taking over City Hall, warning that a mass departure could have severe economic consequences nationwide.

“If anywhere near that number actually left, the economic impact would be seismic,” pollster James Johnson told the outlet. “Older New Yorkers, Staten Islanders, and white voters are the most likely to say they would pack up and go.”

“When asked to sum up what Mamdani’s New York would look like, respondents called it a ‘disaster,’ ‘hell,’ and — cover your ears, kids — a ‘sh–hole,’” he added.

People are always saying they'll leave if X or Y, but they won't. Just talk. Pulling up stakes is hard. You've got your friends, your kids in school, your job, your church, your book club, that room full of junk you've really been meaning to sort through and you don't want to cart it through another move without first deciding what to keep.

Mamdani going to make some mistakes and some of his policy initiatives will fail. But the idea that NYC is going to somehow completely fall to pieces over one mayoral term is ridiculous.

For your knowledge, around 500,000 people move out of NYC a year... and close to a million moved out in 2020... so moves happen frequently.

The article's estimate might be low actually.

~1 in 10 are ready to leave, and ~1 in 4 would consider leaving if the democratic socialist win. That “data” is data itself, lol.

ps. Polls generally don’t ask this kind of question, so it was probably some very special one-of-a-kind "poll" made to get a certain result.

the crazy thing about all these multi-millionaires and billionaires threatening to leave NYC if Mamdani wins is that they have spent far more money campaigning against him and propping up losers like Cuomo and Adams than Mamdani would have taken away from them in the form of a whopping 2% tax increase

look at how much they’re fighting against someone proposing to make life easier for every day New Yorkers

they are looting this country blind and have the peons trained so well that they care far more about cookies and shrimp being able to be purchased by people using EBT than the fact that they are getting screwed over daily by people with 3 houses and 10 different cars

they simp for billionaires while attacking those that are less fortunate

The major of NYC doesn't have any authority to raise taxes. The Governor has already said she'll veto any tax increases. There won't be any mass migration out of NYC and you think people are as brainwashed dumb as you are

NYC has 10% more population today than it did in 2011. Another dumbass post by maga

when Traitor George refers to a poll---but never identifying it---it is just another one of his convenient lie.
