    IB4 “b-b-but per capita”

millions upon millions of white people were about to go starving because they’re the majority using benefits, and MAGA didn’t even care…their response was “well per capita other groups use it more”

    They did? Lmao, holy sh*t

I’ve never seen a political party care less about the American people

    they don’t even pretend to

they must be very confident in their ability to rig or steal future elections because they walk around like they’re not worried about any consequences

    Ignored

Congress is in charge of spending, not the judges

The left has fallen under the delusion that all their Soros sponsored judges can run the country and legislate from the bench.

Nobody voted for them. Way out of their lane.

Hey MAGAT congress is the one who authorized an emergency fund to literally distribute in the event of a shutdown. Congress was the one who allocated the money which the admin isnt spending.

"Soros sponsored judges" lol you sound like a typical MAGA.

They said they r going to ignore the ruling. His inbred supporters are too dumb to care

Two Federal Judges order Trump administration to use emergency
    reserves
for SNAP payments during the shutdown

“Defendants’ suspension of SNAP payments was based on the erroneous conclusion that
the Contingency Funds could not be used to ensure continuation of SNAP payments,”
one judge wrote. “This court has now clarified that Defendants are required to use
those Contingency Funds as necessary for the SNAP program.”

She ordered the federal government to advise the court by Monday as to whether they will
She ordered the federal government to advise the court by Monday as to whether they will
use the emergency reserve funds to provide reduced SNAP benefits for November or
fully fund the program “using both contingency funds and additional available funds.

Over a month in and air traffic controllers are reaching the limit. A surge in call-outs, including 80% in the NYC area, has created staffing shortages in at least 15 of the 30 major US airports.

In my experience, a lot of feds can handle a couple of weeks of shutdown, especially knowing back pay will arrive at some point. But once you start hitting that 3-4 week mark--getting into that second bill cycle--something has to happen to bring some money in. If you are an air traffic controller and required to do your job for no pay, you may very well be forced to take a second job, which only adds to one of the more stressful jobs out there and creates physical and mental fatigue as well, which we know affects decision-making.

I think we may be close to the breaking point and would not be excited to fly anytime soon. Aside from the safety aspect, as staffing is reduced, so too will air traffic be restricted, leading to delays and cancellations. This, of course, will also have an affect on the economy as a whole.

We are caught in one big whirling, swirling vortex of doom these days.

Trump has not even sat down for a single meeting to negotiate. He told his people not to negotiate and the house has been on recess for weeks

I'm assuming all the metal fixtures came from Home Depot and just got spraypainted gold.

So he saved some money there, right?

Schumer could have ended the shutdown 10x over the last month -- as clean funding bills passed the House and went to the Senate. Schumer chose not to end the shutdown. And now millions, including many single African American moms who vote for Democrats around 97% of the time, will be without their SNAP benefits. Schumer has not represented his constituents well. He overplayed his hand, plain and simple. And his voters lay in bed at night hungry.

    SAD DAY

I sincerely feel like I'm going crazy. When biden was POTUS @Os Trigonum @basso @tallanvor MAGA would spam the forums how out of touch Democrats were and how they left the working class. Now Trump is hosting a billionaire party on the eve of tens of millions of Americans will go hungry and they just pretend its not happening.

Of course they wont care but it still blows my mind just how disingenuous these people are.

Republicans argue the ACA subsidies were temporary for COVID and should lapse. Democrats argue that the millions with the ACA subsidies will be immediately be priced out of insurance if it lapses. The Democrats learned that they cannot trust Trump or the Republicans to honor their word, so if they capitulate the citizens they represent pay the price.

The sad part is Trump doesn't give a **** about the cost of the subsidies. This is the same dude that sent 40 billion to Argentina and passed 5 trillion dollars of tax cuts for the rich. The only reason he doesnt agree on extending the subsidies is he doesnt wanna give obama a win. He would see tens of millions of people lose their insurance rather than give someone else a W.

Hes such a morally deprived individual that it honestly makes me sick to my stomach.
