We'll see, if he gets a meaningful sample size and continues to suck i'll turn on him same as everyone else. Hope you're at least enjoying this moment though!

He looks like eventually he will be a fine POINTS guard.....just needs time to ply his craft.

The shooting we expected has shown up and his court vision is plenty good enough.

With more competitive NBA reps will the game slow down for him. He still does not have much experience at PG, even at Kentucky he didn't run the offense a ton.

Using screens and keeping his dribble alive are the things he really needs to improve on right now. As is, he gets into a pressure situation and panics

Idk, I’m skeptical because every time Reed is in the game we have to switch to zone to make up for his lack of size. Let’s see what happens when we play teams that’s have great 3 pt shooting as the season goes on

They made use of Reed's skills better this game. He's definitely better off ball at the moment and once gets the reps, we can slowly transition him back to PG duties

Reed is a work in progress that is moving in the right direction. After 3 games, he's 8/18 (44%) from long range but he's gotta figure out what works inside the line. Definitely needs to cut the TOs, many of which are careless.

I think he'll figure things out on offense. Defense is the bigger concern. It great the Rockets have Okogie to start so Reed has a buffer zone to grow in.

This is one of the weirdest things about him: He takes some crazy gambles in passing, going for it all, but as a ball handler under pressure he's incredibly conservative. Like he's gonna get benched if he loses that ball, so he better pick it up now.

He needs to learn how to use the initiative to create the right kind of contact and draw fouls. Once he's confident in that, he won't feel like he has to resort to the pickup.

Why in God’s name would I “give up” on a 21 year old shooting .4+ from 3? All else fails, if he continues that, he’ll be in the league a long time and make a lot of money.

    Plus defensive positioning.
    Plus muscle.

I feel like these may take a little time but generally easy to teach to someone who wants to learn.

We need to quickly get him to the point where he's never hunted by the other team.

A great 2nd half, but mostly against 2nd/3rd stringers in garbage minutes after mid 3rd quarter. We’ve seen it many times last season that he and Cam both thrive in garbage time because they can play more freely without pressure. But at least his shot looks legit. That was my biggest fear: that his 50% college 3pt shooting was just a hot streak at the right time.

I don't know about you guys but I see a kid who's improving rapidly game to game. We might be surprised by what he's capable of by game 20 of this season in terms of creating 3pters and middies. Can he average 4 of 10 shooting from 3PT range? Some DHO and some off ball picks, we might have a Reggie Miller in this kid. The jumper has swag.

His entire game revolves around the threat of the 3pter. Once that's respected as a weapon, it opens up more passing and driving opportunities. Defenders will have to guard him so close that it will be easier to blow past them. Once he can drive, that opens up dishing opportunities or middies. As long as he's feared from 3PT range, the rest falls into place.

I see him as having a similar role to Malik Beasley on the Pistons. High scoring shooter with some passing skills. Seth Curry type of offensive game for this season. That's a good starting point at his age. With Adams no longer starting, Amen/Sengun/Durant will find it much easier to get to the rim and make plays for others. Hopefully he wins/earns that starting gig from Okogie.

Doesn't seem like he has a lot of confidence in his ball handling, especially when under pressure. This might take a while for him to be aggressive with the ball
