You are assuming I was disingenuous. If you want to correct me on my information then that is reasonable but do not accuse me of something based on your assumption and lack of knowledge. It’s a matter of semantics. I Generalized and called them layups when there were some floaters in there. If you want to segregate his scoring and be more specific sure. Good on you. To be more specific he missed layups, floaters and 14 ft pull up and running jump shots. The fact is he still went 0-8 on 2s.

Also you just restated what I said about the coaching staff lol. Really groundbreaking analysis there.

I get "90% of gamblers quit before winning big" vibes with Reed. Damned if we trade him, damned until we trade him. lol.

The only thing I agree with in your assessment is that they need to give JD Davison some minutes. He is our ONLY true PG on the roster.

People forget, FVV played PG in college. Reed has NEVER been a PG, he is and has always been a Combo guard. You don't just wakeup and become a PG. Especially at the highest level, the NBA.

This was a mistake by Stone and Ime in their assessment. Thats just like the Texans saying just becase Jeff Driskell ran a 4.3 in the 40, he was similar to Lamar Jackson....Thats Crazy!

Reed is not FVV, Nash, nor CP3. Those players have HANDLES, those players know how to play with TEMPO, those players are good PASSERS, none of that says Reed.

Reed Sheppard is a 6'1 combo guard who is inconsistent on offense, not a good passer and not good on defense. Can he improve, yes BUT do the Rockets have time to wait??

You want him to shoot at least 65% from the field? That’s insane. Considering how many of his shots will be 3s you are expecting him to shoot basically 100% from 2, about 40% better than shaq. The all time FG% leader is deandre jordan at 67.4%, who basically only dunked. If that’s the expectation i can say with 100% certainly that he will fail (and every player ever would as well).

Yes, they would be 2-0 if he started instead of Adams.

Why make such a stupid and blatantly false statement?
Reed was even +/- in OKC game (Adams +2)
and Reed was -13 against Detroit (Adams -4)

It's pretty convenient for you to just look at his first game. He shot .433 from three this season so far. And he shot .520 from 3 in his three starts last season, .407 in the four preseason games.

Yes, small sample size. But you pointed out the even smaller sample size of one game. He missed a lot of 2pters in this past two games. Those shots were makeable for him in the past. We've seen him hitting them with ease.

He’s being shopped and a trade will occur as soon as eligible which is December. Udoka only playing Reed to showcase his shooting, as his defense is awful and Udoka won’t stand for that.

Sorry that was a typo, that should've been 45/38/85. Which I think is more than fair for an "elite" shooter, no?

Crazy how hard yall glazed Reed & Tari as the two guys to hang onto outside of Amen & Sengun and they will probably end up being the worst of the bunch

Should’ve pushed FVV, Reed, and Tari for KD and hung onto Green, Brook, and maybe Cam

I've pointed this out a few times but it's painful seeing Ajay Mitchell..a 2nd round pick in the same draft, who only played 36 games last season..ball out for OKC and look better this season than Reed has ever looked as a Rocket. He literally does everything you would want Reed to do and it's looked easy for him. Thunder's 2nd round pick is outplaying and looks like the much better player than Rocket's 2nd overall pick.

Sure, that 20% is a big difference lol. We’ll see what happens when his sample size goes from zero to tiny, and tiny to small, etc.

It'd be amazing for us if he could hit or exceed those numbers. If he doesn't he's way too **** at everything else for us to keep giving him minutes if we're chasing a ring.

Of course, if he can’t shoot he’s useless. I would be shocked if he doesn’t end up being an excellent shooter though. Jalen was like that also, super talented but at the end of the day he couldn’t shoot so he was useless. The idea of being a championship PG at his age with how little he has played is not realistic though. That list probably has 2 names? Magic and cp3.

Yep. He's been spectacular in 3 games this year. J-Dub's injury will end up being a blessing to OKC.

Because it is truth, I can explain it for you casuals.

We are unbalanced, that is why we are losing.

Not saying REED is a savior but he balances us and opens up room for Amen and Sengun ....

People really need to take a chill pill. Reed basically did not play last year, is 21, undersized and is supposed to play the PG, the toughest position learn. Because of all of this he is not really expected to be already good. Just look at Mark Price stats when he joined the league at 22 (.435 eFG%, 8.6pts) and he had way more collage experience.

Banking on him being our PG solution for this year was just way too optimistic. I am sure if he keeps getting 20mpg a night he will keep improving and next year we can judge if he is ever going to be good enough. Giving up on him right now would equal to front office declaring they do not know what they are doing.

The worst part of all of this is we could have had Stephon Castle. He is already looking like a polished NBA guard. He has such a steady handle and would have been absolutely perfect for this team
