He isn’t going to play enough minutes to matter. 7 million a year could’ve been used on a different player

He’s a trade asset. Nothing more, nothing less

Today he only got just under 4 minutes of play. He was a +8 in +/-

They went a little too deep on the big man thing. They can make a correction when the contracts become tradable. Personally I think it's worth investing 20 games in Reed and Amen and then seeing where we're at.

Sengun and Durant is looking like a potent duo, just need a little more chemistry. Honestly, Steven Adams is in the way despite the good things he does. We don't need this many rebounds. We have potentially the highest scoring PF/C duo in the NBA and we need to make life easy for them. I think if we need the 5th starter to be able to at minimum make open corner 3's easily. Clear the paint ffs.

Last season we out-rebounded teams 61 times. Then next 4 teams did it 49-51 times. We dominated the league. Do we really need to get WAY better at that more than we need anything else? I don't know man.

We desperately need that spacing to make things easier on the guys trying to collapse the defense (Sengun/Amen/Durant). They're not elite at it, it's ok to help them. They don't need someone to grab their misses, they need someone to help them drive the ball more easily.

We couldn't actually use the $7million another way since we used the MLE on DFS.
Using the MLE also hard capped us.

Capela was rolled into the Durant trade
I guess at this stage he looks like $7M in traceable salary. BUT he is probably also a pretty fine backup C in case of injury

Didn't stop us signing anyone. Doesn't hurt as 3rd string C.

I'm more upset at the brick brothers (Jabari and Reed)

None at all especially since you signed back Adams to more money than last season. I get that Steve will probably miss some games but we would’ve done better just keeping Dante or not bringing back Steve if that going to be an issue

Maybe we can try to flip Capela for D'Angelo Russell after Dec 14. For some reason Jason Kidd decided to barely give Russell any minutes even though they have no other real PG with Kyrie out and made Flagg the primary ball handler instead.

The Mavericks have also gone big just like the Rockets with Flagg as their point guard and Klay being the shortest of the starters, so they also look clunky like the Rockets and they’re also 0-2 just like the Rockets.

Well, Luka was also 6'7-6'8 but you have to be the absolute best at ballhandling to pull it off.

Eh, signing DFS with the NT-MLE did that too .... so even without the sign and trade for Capela, they'd be hard capped at the 1A.

I don't see him contributing much, hope they can package him with Tari (after Dec15th) to bring back a rotation worthy guard.

Back in the old days Stone would sign trade assets with non-guaranteed years

N'Faly Dante could've done everything Capela was doing.

Clint's averaging 5.8 minutes per game right now

Adams is averaging 30.8, and has clearly been absolutely gassed for multiple stretches

What are Ime and Stone doing?

I thought N'Faly Dante could have been a good 3rd center and much cheaper too.
